How do you feel about the 07 Escalade? Either you like it or you don't. What changes would you have made, that you feel were not addressed during production? How many of you are undecided until your first 2007 experience?

The fit and finish are above and beyond what I expected. The drivetrain option is a very good progression of the last model year.
I will be buying one.

I don't like the styling but the new powertrain with 400hp is a nice improvement.

The outside looks too much like a Navigator to me, while the inside looks too much like a car. I will have to wait to see what the EXT looks like, I would put money that it would look pretty nice, but I prefer my older body at the moment until I see that. I don't think I would buy another escalade, they de-value too easily if you don't do anything to them.

Much better than the present model IMO, the fit and finish is better, the interior in much nicer, better power and should have a much better ride thanks to the new front end's coil springs. The best thing is unlike the present model they did not just bolt some plastic moldings on. :)

I think there's always going to be a debate that the present model is the best looking.
On the other hand..
I don't think there's going to be much debate that the 07's are way above them all with the upgrades to fit, finish and performance.
GM played the, ..lets keep using parts that we have.. long enough and finally had to upgrade to stay in the race.
Also, less truck and more car like was their aim for the new 07's.
Myself.. I want truck capabilities with comfort and car like ride and handling.
I think that's what the 07's will deliver.
Bottom line, the 07's don't really look bad.. we're just spoiled by the great look of the current model.. :~)

Front end: Very nice
Rear end: OK
sides: Disgusting
Interior: Undecided, not too into that euro-Passat-like interior.

Anyway, i voted undecided!

I do like the new 07. It may look like a Navigator, but the lines a cleaner than the 2nd gen version. Doesnt have the add-on plastic look. Did you see that the super bowl MVP got a new 2007 Escalade as a "gift"?

It will grow on all of the Cadillac lovers after we see more pics of customized 2007 Escalade. But still I would rather take the old one (true king of bling) or the 2007 Tahoe.
