Well as I have stated before my 1993 seville doesn't have TC so that leaves me unable to get codes from the On board diognostics because the wonderfull person from GM decided to enlist thes codes together:thumbsup: .

So my father has an old school snapon scanner, This thing is the giant red box type with the hundreds of diffrent connectors.I hooked it up to my car and it is unable to comunicate with the ABS system or something of that sort.Fuse checked good so I went a diffrent way.

I connected a diffrent connector incase this happend and went by the ABS lights flashing. These numbers came up

12,31,and 35.

31 is the RR wheel speed sensor
35 is the LR wheel speed sensor
but 12 isnt in the list of codes I have printed from a online sorce. The one that it could be is 21 RF wheel speed sensor. This is what got me because the light blinked once and then stoped and then blinked twice.I even did it again turned key off then on and the same thing.
They also repeeted three times before moveing on to the next one.

I was that close to figureing it out:rant2: so I just might have the dealer run a scan and pay them to let me know what the codes are because I have no idea what to do now.Any insite will be nice on what to do.

With the flashing light I think some GM cars start with 12 to let you know it is in the diagnose mode.

If you have Bosh ABS the 12 is the initialization code.
codes 31 and 35 are the same as you have.

I checked with Mr Haynes if you want to believe him.

Let me know if you have Teves mark IV system.

How can I tell.I think I do because the Snap On book that I have goes for 1990-1993.So the 12 is the first starting point and not a code. That makes thinks alot better on my half as its one less sensor that I have to buy,I wonder how hard they are to replace.

I forgot to mention I have had the car for one month and the ABS light had only gone out two or three times. It returned soon after the car would move but it sounds weird that both the rear wheel speed sensors are bad.Is there a reason why they both have gone out.Do the rear wheel speed sensors have to be unpluged to do pads and if so where are the connectors so I can check if they are unpluged.I have new pads in front so maybe the previous owner replaced the rear pads and forgot to plug them back in.

The wheel speed sensors are integral to the hub & bearing assembly. If the sensor is bad, you must replace the whole assembly.

No, I don't think the sensors need to be unplugged to do brakes but it is not uncomon for them to be knocked loose. Check them first.

Are the hubs hard or easy to replace. Are they pressed in.

I have heard of people needing pullers and having lots of trouble. I did one on my '92 Deville in :45 min. I would call it an easy job. A FSM would help but it should be pretty self evident what needs to be done once you get a look at it.

Ok then I will check them out tommorow and where are the ABS plugs located.
