There's quite a few people who've experienced more than their fair share of issues with the V. Some of them have taken baths selling the car for ridiculously low prices, traded them in for very low values, or are "stuck" with a bad car and even worse service departments. There are always alternatives.

I also understand that there are many people who've had nothing but great experiences with their V's, and I am so glad that they are experiencing the V for the great car that it is/could be. Some service departments are so good that even a problematic vehicle is being supported and the owners are very happy.

Here's a link to Lemon Laws for all the states. Generally, if your car has been in service for more than 30 days within 18mos/18K miles, or has been attempted to be fixed for 4 times regarding the same type of issue (diff, tranny, ect) then there is recourse.

I hope not many people need this info, but it's nice to know you're not stuck with a problem. Perhaps GM will make a few needed changes to the V instead of buying them back, one at a time...

Even if your diff was replaced (that is the #1 issue?), please make sure you enter the info on the NTSB website for vehicles.
