Recently my STS began intermittently throwing the SERVICE STABILITY SYS message up on the DIC, and its really more of an annoyance than anything else. The codes its throwing are C1286 which I believe is STEERING SENSOR BIAS and C1287 which is STEERING SENSOR MALFUNCTION or some such thing.

How costly/difficult is it to have this sensor replaced, or could it be something else?

I thought this was pretty common... Ive found info regarding WHAT the problem is but not much on how to fix it, someone has to know.
