: I just got the new Diff . . .

I just got a new differential put in my car this past week. I have about 6500 miles on it and mentioned to the dealer a few months ago that I though I heard a slight whine at about 40. So, can anyone tell me how much better the new '06 differential is over the one that I had? In short, when I put on the Maggie in the next year or so, will it still blow apart?

Depends on how you drive it.

Doesn't matter if you have a maggie or not.

Clearly, the new differential is much better, but some believe that it still isn't nearly good enough. For me, the verdict is still out, as I don't believe we have enough information to form any sort of conclusion.

In any case, the new, mega-differential by Madman/Aussies seems very exciting and I'm eagerly awaiting to see the results.

Just get the Maggie and save for an Aussie Diff. Who cares what the General gives you. Just make it bulletproof yourself. :D

My '06 diff whines and clunks. They need to re-design the front-mount to include another mount...the single mount is just not enough. I don't trust the new diff, designed for an automatic car....

Well, our '06 diff is holding up well.

Avery slight whine....it has been constant since 400 miles.

Ace....I solved the front mount issue!!!:):)

Don't forget, it's not just the diff that is weak. The half shafts are junk also. Me rear whines a lot and has been for some time, but when I blew mine, it turned out to be a half shaft, not the rear end.
