Thoughts? Katshot 01-29-06, 07:42 AM For the price of those things, I'd want better than low 13's myself. Devil_concours 01-29-06, 10:12 AM For the price of those things, I'd want better than low 13's myself. how do we even know that's real? Car is not even out yet. I was however quite disapointed by the fact that xlr-v has less power/torque than sts-v. harryctsv 01-29-06, 10:29 AM how do we even know that's real? Car is not even out yet. Harry Devil_concours 01-29-06, 10:37 AM Hi Concours, XLR V is out, take a look at ebay. Cadillac of Memphis have a black/shale on their lot. Harry cadillac says available in feb of 06 http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/vseries/index.jsp? MrEr1c 01-29-06, 11:35 AM that 110 trap speed looks decent. It should be good for a mid 12 with a good driver. MrEr1c 01-29-06, 11:43 AM ummm ok yeah... the edit button doesn't seem to be working. i meant to say that the 110 trap speed should be good for a mid to high 12 second pass with a good driver. Vrocks 01-30-06, 11:06 PM Hi Concours, XLR V is out, take a look at ebay. Cadillac of Memphis have a black/shale on their lot. Harry Strange.... are you sure it's a regular production V? I know excellent dealers and their 1st V or two isn't expected for about 2 more weeks. AznPrydeRegalRyde 01-31-06, 04:42 PM Strange.... are you sure it's a regular production V? Really strange.... I'll check into it some more because it was my understanding that not 1 regular production XLR-V has been shipped. thoredan 02-01-06, 05:04 PM Yes it is real I called them and it is there, I called my dealer and they have a vin for mine, 7 to 14 days out. they sould be everywhere soon, this dealer on ebay is 300 miles from the factory that is way the might of gotten it first, also the ordered the car as "SOLD" that puts them to the head of the line...... sneeky bastards ((wish my dealer did that too):) harryctsv 02-02-06, 04:16 AM Really strange.... He is in California. I think the first ones are now at the dealers in Florida. Harry Blackout 02-05-06, 02:31 PM For $100k+ there are much nicer/faster cars then the XLR-V. This car is going to flop BIG TIME! And for $100k I'd want it to be the most powerful car in Cadillac history and not have less power then the car that costs $30k less in the STS-V MrEr1c 02-05-06, 09:29 PM For $100k+ there are much nicer/faster cars then the XLR-V. This car is going to flop BIG TIME! And for $100k I'd want it to be the most powerful car in Cadillac history and not have less power then the car that costs $30k less in the STS-V from what i have been reading, it seems like a success so far. Car and Driver had some very nice things to say about it. you have to remember that with such small production numbers, it is going to be hard for this thing to flop even if gm tried. harryctsv 02-06-06, 09:45 AM from what i have been reading, it seems like a success so far. Hi MrEr1c, In what car mags they have a road test`s of the XLR V? You talk about Car&Driver, is also one in Road&Track? I´m here in Germany and get my new mags around 20 th each month, that`s why I´m asking! Harry gordon87 02-07-06, 11:58 AM Check out Running With Big Dogs Now -- Cadillac XLR-V takes a back seat to no one http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060206/FREE/60127003/1008 Katshot 02-07-06, 12:15 PM Check out Running With Big Dogs Now -- Cadillac XLR-V takes a back seat to no one http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060206/FREE/60127003/1008 Yeah, I read that but as I recall, the article was really just driving impressions. They didn't actually do any instrumented testing. I mean, yeah it's nice if you really like the new design theme from Cadillac. It IS the ultimate expression in that vein. My problem is that I really don't like the new Cadillac design theme that much and the XLR is just a tarted-up Corvette IMO.
