Interesting thread, what do you think you are; a thread starter, poster, or lurker?

I'm a little of both lurker and poster. I voted lurker though.

Hello...
Although I often lurk,
I start threads when I have specific questions,
but...
I like to think I give good post!

Mainly a lurker, occasional poster of useless information or opinions. Rarely a thread starter.

Claire.'Course, with Craig in the hospital you've become quite the new site sensation here Claire, do you think you'll be able to go back to silent, lurking anonymity after this? Surely not!

Very easy to remedy with a wireless router and three notebooks!

We both have our own notebooks, and my son (the one who's still at home) has one, we took the wireless out because it often went offline, apparently there isn't enough range in the units.... I don't know I'm not technically minded!

I don't know I'm not technically minded! You would need to get a number of wireless routers and use them as repeaters in order to have a nice coverage in your house on all levels. It would be fairly simple to set up and the cost seems to be dropping on these things all the time. It's just a matter of whether you want that or not.

It would be nice, cost isn't that much of a factor for me, I don't mind paying it, but I use my computer for work, Craig uses his for work and this one has the Internet on it, which he uses for work occasionally, although this doesn't have much of the software he uses.

My son has a Broadband socket in his bedroom, although it's currently inactive because the carpet is being re laid in there and they severed it by mistake.

I've done them all. 60% lurker now, 30% poster, 10% starter.

Lurking is taking over for me. Not as much time as I used to have.

Definitely a poster. I rarely create new threads.

Sorry, 17 months dead in the archives is long enough!

Mostly a lurker. I'll start a post when I have a question I can't find an answer to, and I'll reply when I think I have something relevant to say. That doesn't always happen... :bigroll:

I'm a poster and a starter but I only start a thread if I have a question or would like to provide useful information so I voted for poster.
