wow, so many nice cadillacs!!!!

you cant really tell too well in mine, but if you look at the pic with the close up of the hood you can see that the paint is dull. it also has a few rust spots and they are really starting to bother me even though they are only quarter sized. lol. oh well. time for a new paint job. this is gonna be my project car. already swapped in a cam!!

Dave,
You have a '95 ETC and you're not even in the 15's?! What's wrong? Most guys around here swear they're in the mid to high 14's with those cars. :hmm:

Due to the altitude. Adjusted I think it would be in that range.

The density altitude of the best run I got was around 7500-8000' that afternoon. Track altitude is 5400' or so, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it's uphill... (seriously I think it is.)

Just to illustrate how much altitude sucks, my friend's Mark VIII managed around a 16.2 on the same day (also it's best run.) I was running 16.4s during summer due to weather, saw the D/A shoot up to 11000' once. Dropped down to 16 flat with the cooler weather. Using NHRA correction factors that would be 14.925 @ 96.34, in moderately decent weather at sea level.

Another thing was that I always run 86 octane (which is regular here.) I haven't run 91 (premium) at the track because I think your track times should be done in full street trim. Might try 91 once this season, although I usually only get a few degrees of timing retard.

I'll run it when I'm out in Phoenix with a track altitude around 3000' and see what I can pull off down there.

Wow, I had no idea that Albuquerque was so high up. The altitude does have a major affect on ETs for sure.
