Guess what my "neighbor" (he lives a few houses down from me) just pulled up in.....a new Silver Porsche 911 S:eek: ! I'm officially jealous, this car is absolutely gorgeous! I don't really know the guy that much, but he must really be pulling back some serious money for that car:eek: (I'm still in shock)! I was used to seeing him pull up in his Durango, so you can understand my awe. I guess I'll have to be nicer to him....maybe I can borrow it:cool2: !

Which 911 is it........I always wanted a 911 Turbo. I think I'd probably end up killing myself if I had one though...they are extremely fast, and not the easiest car to handle out there. The newer ones handle much nicer though.

i've had 7 Porsches thus far .... it does have a certain shock value for the neighbors ..... but i had become rather dissapointed that sitting behind the wheel of my Boxster S was so very similar to being in my 911 996 C4 .....

different Porsche models used to have there own personality .... the 928, 968, 924, etc ....

my Porsche cars have been .... in order owned ...
1993 968 Cabriolet
1984 911 ( Steel slantnose conversion)
1994 911 C4 Widebody
1995 968 Cabriolet
1997 911 C4s
1999 911 996 C4
2001 Boxster S

they say " there is no substitute " .... but cars at less then half the price can be just as much, if not more, fun to drive and own ...!!

It's a 911 S.

I guess I didn't know my neighbors' as well as I thought I did. If I could ever find a used Porsche 911 or even a Boxster, it might be my next car. Nobody really needs a Porsche, but if you can afford the monthly payments and not to mention insurance, more power to you!

Anything but the Cayenne would please me.

I very much want one, too. My first will be either the 944 or a 924 turbo.

One of my friends (a very, very loaded friend) used to have a black 911 C4S. That thing was beautiful. He got rid of it because he couldn't carry golf clubs in the trunk.

The 944 is terrible, it's WAYYYYY too small and it really dosen't have a whole bunch of power. Go for the 928, much better car.

944 was 4 cylinder .... later 944 turbo S sounded like fun ..... 968 had 4 banger also .... largest production 4 cylinder at the time .... trunk was pretty small, but back seats passed thru on cabriolet .... had small rear seats ... front seats were pretty roomy .... i'm 6'1" .... 210 ...

never had 928 .... hatchback .... good room ... V8 .... S4 was nice towards the end .... 1995 ...??? that was last year for 968 .... don't remember when 928 ended .... maybe 1995 also ..??

i'd like to see a newer 928 type Porsche ....
