Its almost that time for me to start new projects on my caddy and I took her
home to get some new prices on this years work.

Suicide rear car doors - havent gotten a decent price yet

New Shoes w/decent rubber(245/35/20) - $1800

Front doors shaved handles - $1000

The pleasure of doing these projects - PRICELESS

Updated pics

she just reached 80023k
I showed her to the yard that had her sitting in the back in the mud 4 years ago. You have no idea how much he wants her back but I told him " I paid you 350 bucks for her but your gonna have to pay 10 times that much to get her back"

these other two cars are my beaters that I use to get around. The Town car is for my family transport and the Monty is my fun aka stress resolver from driving a truck 16hrs aday.

I have a 350 shoved under the hood in my monty.

Shaved front door handles are out. The electric actuator they want to use will have to be hooked up to my alarm and not button under the car like how I wanted.Plus they are gonna have to rewire my power window on the driver side to compensate the rear trick side doors and the front shaved doors. I'll just stick with the rear door project. I love suicide door cause more then Lambo doors since it make the car have the old gangsta feel then some space age car. Am I right?

In the first pic of your Cad, with the stock wheels, it looks like it is sitting a bit higher than stock. How did you raise the front and rear, and how much are they raised above stock ?

I am using Chevy truck shocks and coil springs. The shocks that I am using have coils on them as well. I picked them since my Subzone box and speakers are heavy and with 2 rear passengers my car was sitting below the whitewall and I like my car to sit up and not sag showing the whitewalls. Also during those picks the trunk was empty since I am still doing the dynomat job so it might sit high until the load is put back on them.

The Monte has been sold to a guy in N.C. so I now lost my fun car. But I have gained more funds for my project

Ah sweet man, I see you own an '86 Brougham and an '88 Town Car Signature Series. Both cars I really like. What differences do you see in the two cars?

I must admit the Town car as alot of power with the 5.0 Mustang motor and the ride is something that has a small lead over the caddies but look of the Town car isnt a eye catcher like the caddies are. Plus I was raised on caddy line up(El Dawgs and Fleetwoods) .

So the Town Car is more powerful, and its a smoother ride in the Town Car....

I'm guessing the Town Car corners better (thats really saying something!)

Which has the better seats? the more comfortable interior?

Well my 88 Town car has the digital dash along with a moon roof and thats the best thing I like about it. I still love the caddy float effect when riding on the highway. I cant determine which is more comfortable since my caddy is leather and the linkin is cloth. Cloth is always softer to me but looks like crap when next to leather seats. The one thing I truly hate about the linkin is the non adjusting steering wheel compared to the caddy.

Sounds good!

I like the Town Car's interior more because it appears to have better seating than the Brougham (atleast the base model) and it's got the digital dash with the trip computer, but I do like the door panels and dash more on the Brougham, but I do think the Brougham has a much better looking exterior.

I just placed 2 orders of fatmat from http://cgi.ebay.com/100SqFt-Fatmat-Deadener-Install-Kit-Dynamat-Sample_W0QQitemZ5860772807QQcategoryZ39776QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem
and my dumb self just put the headliner back on since changing my roof mounted flipdown from 7 to 11 inches along with some wires to prep for my pc install. I now have to remove everything(Backseats to trunklid) again. Boy O Boy this aint gonna be fun.
