Its been about 5 months now... since i got my Cadillac Brougham. She has come along way.
I remeber the day it went on ebay.... i must have looked at the pictures 500 times... asked the guy 60 questions...... with a BIN of 1500... i knew with the miles it wouldnt last long. I wanted it... my dad thought i was crazy... and wasnt worth it.

300 miles down... there it was... some surpises.. good and bad. But anyway it went... i was taking it.

The weather was mint... and i took it for a ride around the lot... first time i drove one.... last day i fantisized about owning one.

Deal was done.

Then it was dirty and dull paint
tree sap all over.. along with pine needles.
roof was shit...
chrome and stainless dull.
smelld like old woman...
trunk leaked (smelld)
indise leaked form common spot (added to smell)
ornaments were faded and worn.
antenna was broke
side mouldings in bad shape.

This car was a diamond in the rough. my dad thought i was wasting my time

Since then i have added a full new top... all new emblems (hood roof and trunk) new antenna, buffed it i dont know how many times... dual exhaust... and my own personal touches...... paitned the mouldings... and i take great care of it..

dont have any good pics since today... it was a beautiful day for a photo up...

here you go

my 1500 diamond in the rough....

WOW! loss of words, what a fantastic job you did. Is that a D'elegance top
that you put on? Your diamond is rough no longer.

Nice pics! Great job too! I've always wanted an eighties-early ninetees era Brougham, I'll probably just have to stick to my '70 Deville for now though :(, some day though...

The "Premier Roof Treatment" debuted in 1988 as on option on all Brougham models and became standard on all Broughams in 1990

The car pictured here turned out very very nice. Great Job!!! I think it is so cool that the young guys not only like these cars as much as us old timers but are keeping them pretty stock. Once again excellant job!!!!

Your car looks terrific, as I've said before. I rarely actually like the older '92 and before cars, but yours is easily one of my favorites--from color combo (white is AMAZING on these cars;) ) to the condition it is in now and the equipment like the stock CD player.

I hope to have a similar story with the '95 I bought, by sometime this summer. Not that very much is wrong, but once I fix all the little things like the kick panel, broken center dash vents, the antenna, etc., and likely change out the wheel and tire combo, it will be PRIMO.

Im proabably the only kid in Mass that drives one...... lol... and stock, for me.. is the way to be.... I havent seen one nicer in my area yet...

I found a guy that lives 3 roads down has one... never knew that.. lol.

It would have been white... burgandy or Blue... i didnt like gold that much.. nor silver... but all these cars look great... and i prefer the white bottom trim.
just yesterdau and the day before... it was beautiful out... upper 50;s Today.... 8 iches of the white stuff.... ahhhh

The "Premier Roof Treatment" gives you the inserts on the rear 1/4 windows and the drip gutters are painted to match to the color of the roof instead of the chrome ones on the regular vinyl roofs. I have always liked the treatment.

Curb feelers works by making a sound throughout your car as they rub along the curb or any other object they contact. When they DO contact something, it sounds as if someone is strumming all along the car. They are really wound up springs that are supposed to attach to bodywork of your car (the hollow part of a fenderwell works best) that reverbrate.
My dad used to have them on his '98 when I was a kid. The sound they made was horrible but my dad liked them because he did not want to scuff up his white walls!:D

Night Wolf
01-25-06, 12:51 PM
lol, thats just funny....

they seem to be universly disliked..... they sure are ugly on the car tho.

I~LUV~Caddys8792
01-25-06, 05:59 PM
So what, do they swing out or something?

Night Wolf
01-25-06, 06:11 PM
no, they stayed just as they are in the picture...

there is only 1 there, most you see have 2 or 3 on each side.... very tacky....

I've always wanted curb feelers on the 75, so I would know exactly how close to the curb I was. But I always hated the look so I've never bought them. Maybe a backup sensor adapted somehow, or even a camera like those rearview cameras...

Anyway very nice looking 90.
