View Full Version : Need Help - Volant to V emblem
01-22-06, 11:59 AM
Iím in the process of swapping the large Volant logo on the air box lid to the V emblem and I need some guidance on how to secure it. It doesnít seem like I have enough space on the V emblem to drill holes to match the air box lid. The V emblem is adhesive but Iím not sure how secure that will be. Any suggestions from the folks who have done this are greatly appreciated!!!

Clean the Volant cover real well with Alcohol or??? and the V-emblem will stick there just fine.

Great, Thank you!!! I was paranoid about just using the adhesive. What the best placement, over the screw holes or center in between with the screws installed to fill the holes?

Don't think you can make it cover up both screw holes, if I recall correctly, at least not without making it look funky.
I actually laser cut a complete new lid out of black acrylic...didnt' much like the carbon look.

Now if you could just erase the Volant off the intake tube :banghead:

What did you use to remove or cover it up?

Scuff the tube with a scotch brite pad and hit it with some flat black spray paint. Turns out great and very easy.
