so what does everyone plan on getting in a year or two or three or however far down the road. and i mean what you'd be seriously considering and could afford... not dream cars. i hope to own the following in the next 5 while still keeping my CTS:

a 00-05 DHS/ DTS

a 04-05 CTS-V

a 93-96 Fleetwood/ Fleetwood Brougham

a 92 Brougham

a 75 Sedan Deville

a 89 Lincoln Town Car

and a 97 Lincoln Town Car

that i hope to accumulate over a period of 5-7 years actually. the DHS/DTS i will probably own in about 3 years and the Fleetwood probably within the next year or two (hopefully at the most). the 92 Brougham will definitely be a lowrider as probably will be the Fleetwood. the 75 Deville will be stock and the 89 TC will be stock, the 97 TC will most definitely be juiced. the rest will come later. sorry all i am bored and dead tired figured this would be a good topic.

Unles there's major issues with them, I'd like to replace our Aviator with a Jeep GC SRT-8 or a Chevy Trailblazer SS. I'm just not sure I can get along without a 3rd row seat.

Other than the lack of a usable trunk, and it being a 2-door, I love the GTO. Very nice car IMO.

It would be a toy to replace my '67 Impala SS/LT1 car that I sold recently. If it were a daily driver, I wouldn't even consider it. It has plenty of back seat room, it's just hard for old geezers to get in, getting out for some reason isn't hard. Trunk space is not that critical because if it were used to travel it be just Lynn and I. I've got my Tahoe and her Bravada if we need the room. It would make a better car if fed regs didn't require the fuel tank be in the trunk! This car is a 7500 mile used car, I can get it for $24,700.

Mid-late 90s Camaro/Trans-Am. I want V8, RWD, and a huge aftermarket.

Yeah, that was the same with me. I looked at it as an extra vehicle too. I REALLY liked it a lot and had a hard time walking away from it. In the end, I got the Wrangler instead. I was really torn between a rag top Mustang, a Wrangler, and some sort of hot-rod. The Mustang could've covered all bases but to be honest, the new GT rag top was so new and hard to get that the prices were unrealistic. I just can't bring myself to pay list for ANY car so that left me with very little to choose from. The Jeep isn't fast but it sure is fun to drive, especially in the nice weather with the top off!

A WS6 T/A rag-top would be a dream car for me at this point. They are VERY fast!

For me it would be the following:

94-00 Suburban, Tahoe, 1st gen Escalade = for traveling, towing, and other related activities.
2000 or +/year Deville = for traveling, family car.
89-96 Deville= for my personal pleasure vehicle.
90-96 Brougham/FWB = for my personal pleasure vehicle if the price is good.
93-2002 Eldorado ETC = to replace my first Caddy that I sold like an idiot.

Hopefully within 4 years I will have accquired all of these.

That would be sweet, but slightly out of my price range. I haven't determined the price range yet, but I'm sure that would be out of it...lol

My son loves his Wrangler! He's owned 2 TJ's and a CJ7. My Daughter had 2 YJ"s, all were fun.

I also had a Aviator for a while when they came out .... liked it a lot ... but traded it for a Merc Mariner ... sold house with 3+ car garage , and wanted smaller cars for new house w/2 car garage ... the Mariner fits well and gets better gas mileage ... i also sold my 50th Vette and got a 2002 M Roadster.
(the 01 & 02 MZ3 had the 315hp M3 engine .... that was fun..!! )

but that didn't last long .... broke down and got 05 Mustang Vert ..couldn't find GT so we got the V6 ... it was OK ... we wanted a back seat ...
but ... wife had neck surgery ... so we got Cadi STS ... but that road to rough ... so we now have 06 DTS ...( it fits our needs very well ).. but..

the Mariner is just a tiny bit to small ... been looking at JGC SRT-8 and TB SS ... and also the Audi S4 Avant ..... my uncle worked for GM, wives brother works for Chrysler, and have a friend who owns Porsche/Audi dealer,
so all would be fairly affordable .. even better if i'd wait for a good used one .. somebody got a good deal on my STS ..( yeh the dealer ..!!)

then there might be a new Camaro ...??? doesn't quite do the same thing as a sport ute , but the DTS is pretty darn big .... i can just take it on the trips to Lowes ..!!

i think i've had most of my dream cars ... but thanks to the last half dozen years of the stock market , reality has set in ...

In 5 years? In 5 years I'll be 64 ~ if I make it. As Randy so elequently phrased it above, getting in/out of cars will be difficult, so I think I'll probably have some sort of SUV, more than likely a Jeep or a Trailblazer. If Isuzu is still around, maybe i'll take pity and buy one of theirs......(I always like a fighter & Isuzu IS)
Otherwise, a motorized wheelchair from heII, featuring a MOPAR 340 small block hooked up to a Wrangler shortened 4WD system and wearing motorcycle tires in all 4 posistions, with a lift, like a BAHA Jeep to roll over others, while crusin' the nursing homes' corodors at 35MPH, and weaving in & out of speed bumps.

i would love to get a used z06 c5 body style in white. I hardly ever see them in white. If it is out of my price range though i will look into a white WS6 OR Camaro SS. 98 or newer

In 5 years, I'll be 23, so depending on how things go......

1996-2002 ETC (summer time, weekend cruiser)
1995-97 Town Car Signature Series or Cartier Edition (year round daily driver)
1972-76 Lincoln Mark IV (project car, 525hp 460 etc etc)
1980-85 Fleetwood Brougham coupe, 80-84 CDV (other project car choice)
1991-96 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency Elite (#2 choice for winter car)

None of these cars will be very expensive to own. I figure if I spend $15,000, I can get the ETC which will be 9-16 years old, for about $7500, and a nice low mile (under 90k) 95-97 Town Car, which will be 15-17 years old for $4000. Or I would really love to find a really nice low mile 91-93 Fleetwood/Sixty Special if it had everything I want. Otherwise, I can pick up a good 15 year old Ninety Eight with 90k miles for $4000.

Otherwise, I could take that $15,000 and buy a W140 Mercedes Benz S500. The kind from 92-99. $15k would get me a ten year old model with around 105k miles. That's not a very good value, and I want to have two cars. Plus, the M-B's are very expensive to repair and maintain, and I would be too worried about that car to really enjoy it.

And I can wait a couple of years for the Mark IV.

In a few years, hopefully I'll have one or two of these:

2008-2009 Dodge Challenger R/T
1963-1967 Chevrolet Corvette (Coupe or Convertible)
1970 Dodge Challenger or Plymouth 'Cuda (Coupe)
1967-1969 Pontiac GTO (Coupe or Convertible)

I plan on trading in my BMW for a new Challenger when they come out, and hopefully I'll only have to pay a few thousand extra. I plan on keeping the Eldorado for a while, otherwise I might trade-up for a 2002 Anniversary Edition. I have two parking spaces in my garage, but I also have a driveway that could house two more vehicles if I wanted to let them out in the Arizona elements.

The next new car I get is going to be a Marauder or a Town Car. Or maybe a 300C or 300 SRT8 or a Charger. No Cadillac for me since there arent any I like. If I get a older car itll be a Town Car or another 5th Avenue. A truck would be nice too and If I was going to get a really old car it would be a 1959 or 1960 Cadillac, a early 60s Lincoln Continental or a 1975-1977 Eldorado or a 1960 Imperial convertible. It would be fun to make a T bucket too or get a Superbird but they cost a lot.

Have you driven a Marauder yet? I was pleasantly surprised when I drove one. They are a little slow off the line as is usual for any DOHC 4.6 w/auto but they go like hel once off the line, and are really a nice car overall and really a good value for the money.

Yeah, they're very "basic" vehicles. I wasn't TOTALLY sure I'd like one but took the plunge anyway. Damn glad I did. Not betting I'd like it as a daily driver but as a weekend toy/extra car, it's great! I really enjoy driving something so simple and basic. I find it very relaxing. I don't even try to go fast in it. I just cruise along fat, dumb and happy!

I'm planning on keeping the 75 as a fun weekend car that'll burn propane and smoke Z06s by the time 5 years is up. The ETC will stick around as a daily with minor mods, if it gets wrecked/stolen/too broken to fix, I'll look into a new Challenger or just steal my parent's 92 SHO.

If I get hella paid by that time I'll need a quick convertable 2 seater, so I'll pick up an XLR (hopefully a V.) Otherwise I'll do a turbo Northstar Fiero, aiming for a conservative 500rwhp, 9 second 1/4 miles, all in a car that actually handles worth a damn.

Hmmm, when I graduate college.....

A new Camaro which should be out by then. In black with whatever the cheapest V8 model is with the 6 speed manual, fully loaded.

A Lincoln Mark V in black.

A 1969 Sedan de Ville which I'll custom paint black with purple metallics or a 1970 Coupe de Ville, same paint.

Hello Everyone.
We're not sure for ours. Next year I'm going to have Craig buy me a Bentley GT. I have to go and collect his Jaguar XJR for myself on Friday, he's ill in hospital right now. He'll be back in a few days, but he's been quite ill.
So, this year I shall be driving a 2005 Jaguar XJR in Seafrost, with Sepang 20" alloy wheels in the summer, and 19" Custom alloy wheels in the winter.
Here are some computer generated images of my (husband's) new car :sneaky: :

Definately need that 460 power.... No way I'm driving a 159 HP car with an engine that big. I believe my Fleetwood is 160 HP with the 307.
