I have a 2004 CTS-V with the Magnuson SC and a 2.8" pulley. I've noticed some belt shaving covering the front of the engine and every once in while the belt comes off the SC pulley by two or three ribs. I'm using the belt that came with the Maggie, would switching to a shorter Gates belt help such as PN K061031?? Is something wrong with my belt tensioner? I've check the alignment with a straight-edge and its perfect. Any ideas?

Yes, that is the one that comes with the kit. Have you had any problems with the belt slipping or coming off the SC?

No I haven't installed it yet, I just wanted to ensure it is the right one

Now I have the same problem, belt trying to come off the tensioner

Guess I'll have to call Magnuson and ask them what the deal is.
