I have a 93 Deville that i just purchased and i noticed that sometimes when i put it into drive the first time with a cold engine and tranny it has a delay. One thing I noticed though is that if I put it in low it goes in to gear fine. Ive already flushed the fluid and changed the filter and also added an additive. Im thinking input clutches but i hope im wrong. Im fairly knowledgeable about cars but I was wondering if anybody else had experienced something like this. Thanks Bernard

maybe it is from flushing the trans too. I did that once to a Cadillac, never will I do it again. There is some good stuff in the archives
i have a same problem with my 1994 sedan de ville but in first time to drive is was exatly like you car is doing but now it will take 2min-6min to go driving.
Transmission hasnt been flushed and i have chanced oil and filter properly.Where is the input clutches in tranny?94 tranny is 4t60e if i remembered right.
I see there were outhers with this problem. I placed a post a while back with no responses.
Anyone have any Ideas on this. my 94 is doing the same thing.

My 99 does it too. No flushes and I changed fluid and cleaned filter screens. Feels like its slipping bad when it's cold and you put into drive but it goes away after a couple seconds for me.
