On the rear bumper cover there is a small square cover on the passenger side and was wondering what it's purpose? I dn't have an owners manual to help me identify the reason for it's usage.

I don't think it does anything, I always thought it was there for decoration.

The CTS parts list actually labels this as a 'Hole Cover' (duh). Now the next question is "why is there a hole in the bumper?". LOL

The hole is there to receive a safety chain attachment that is part of a factory towing setup. The factory part number of the attachment is 25718706 and I have one in my lap that I will send you for free.
