Rolex 01-17-06, 02:00 AM I've seen that clip before. That van took an arse-kicking! CaddyCrisis 01-17-06, 02:04 AM Its weird how the guy filming just stood there and didn't try and help someone. addison_ii 01-17-06, 02:27 AM He was busy filming. :histeric: CaddyCrisis 01-17-06, 02:30 AM He was busy filming. :histeric: Ahhh i see :cynic: Sandy 01-17-06, 09:55 AM The filmer was more interested in filming, than in helping people. The same should happen to him, for he (or she) is a piece of drek. CaddyCrisis 01-17-06, 02:37 PM The filmer was more interested in filming, than in helping people. The same should happen to him, for he (or she) is a piece of drek. It would of been a shame if a car would of caromed off another car and hit the camera man. :lildevil: Kev 01-17-06, 04:20 PM http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/accident/162803/ People really need to learn how to drive!!Looked to me like they need to learn how to stop! Its weird how the guy filming just stood there and didn't try and help someone. This is why paparazzi are so well loved... :histeric: Dadillac 01-17-06, 05:31 PM Is it just me, or did I see the van. parked on the left shoulder? It doesn't appear to have been in a travel lane. Almost makes you think that the cameraman had something to do with that van being there. Why everyone started plowing into the wrecked cars, after the initial impact, is beyond me. Probably cell phone related though. Don Krashed989 01-17-06, 08:20 PM Yeah, How did the camera man know there was going to be an accident there, at that time? It makes me wonder if he started it.... AlBundy 01-17-06, 09:15 PM Well the film start off with the camara focused on the van which looked stationary with no hazard lights on. dbdartman 01-18-06, 10:29 PM People Are Stupid!!! Why yes, yes they are. I wasn't much older than you are now when I realised this! Consider this: If you're driving along at 60 MPH, you're covering just under 90 feet per second (I believe it's 88 ft/second). Between the driver's reaction time & the length it takes to stop an average car at 60, you're likely to cover some 300-400 feet before you come to a stop. The average driver today seems to focus too much attention on the car they are tailgating at the moment & pay NO attention to what's happening around them, let alone what's going on in front of the car they are following. Now, add to this HOW MANY (?) morons lost in conversation on cell phones & it's a wonder the accident rate isn't HIGHER! Bottom line is: If you're moving that fast & NOT paying attention to what's happening 300-400 feet ahead of you, you WILL be involved should something unexpected occur!!! Another thing to consider: About 90% of drivers have NO CLUE WHAT-SO-EVER the destructive potential of 2 tons moving at 10 MPH, let alone at 70+, therefore they have NO RESPECT for anyone/anything around them! Yes, people are stupid. I've been in 3 MAJOR accidents in the last 38 years (by "major" I mean someone was hurt bad enough to require more than an overnight stay in the hospital, or a ride to the morgue). ALL were caused by another driver's stupidity behind the wheel! Lucky for me, I was only injured in one of these accidents (had a 53 Mercury roll over on to me) when I was 13 (1968). | |
