I have noticed a strange humming sound that seems to be coming from the front of my 98 sls after i installed a e&g classics grille. The noise seems to appear whenever i go over 60 mph, and seems to die down after i start to slow down. I was thinking i could be the grille or tires but im not sure. So if anyone has a e&g classics for their seville and had experienced this sound please let me know.
No experience here but I'd guess it is the air flow through the grill setting up a vibration, or worse yet, just the sound of the air flow that you won't be able to do anything about. I doubt they tested it in a wind tunnel.

Yes, it might be a wind noise or some sort of vibration from the new grille.
I had a caddy once with a small gap in the windshield sealant. It used to whistle ever so slightly when going around 40MPH. It drove me nuts for quite a while!
Take the grille off and see if the noise is gone. Or if you don't want to bother, just tape a piece of stong paper or cardboard over the grille and take it for a quick spin on the highway. It shoudln't overheat right away. If the noise is gone, then you know that the grille is making it.
