ok i got the bushings installed by cadillac, i got a whole speech about how hop ONLY comes from wreckless driving, i told them never to lecture me again... i don't take shit from these people... i'm the one who busts my ass to pay 52 g's...i think if i want something fixed it should be fixed, but i'm 21 so they try and act cute...

anyway i put the car up on my friends lift yesterday and what do i notice...

on the pass. side the spring is not fixed into it's "cup" on the a-frame... i was livid... i had noticed that my car clunked from the rear alittle more than before but i figured it would go away.... nope! now i know why.

i know someone had experianced this before, any tips what i need to say or do... the spring itself... could it be damaged? it looks alittle cocked out to the left... i'm livid.

:want: No experice there.
I would suggest posting where you live, I am sure there are V owners that have good reps or good delears.
The most important thing is to find a good delear that will fix and work with our problems and accept mods.
Good luck
I'm 23, so I know what it feels like.
I went to goodyear to get my tires prorated they took a look at the bald tires at me and said, "You young guys need to stay off the pedal if you want them to last"
I ran through the back f1's in 6000 miles same as the 40 year old guys in this forum that got money from goodyear.:want:

Springs can sometimes just slip out of their pockets. No big deal. Jack the car up (or put on a lift, but relax the spring) and take a small pry bar and pop it back in place.

not worth a trip to the dealer...your clunk will likely go away once this is resolved

I feel your pain on being young! I get treated like poop just cause of my age and their ignorance.

Just because we have a small clue about what the V really is and not just another CTS they think were being smartasses who abuse their cars!

Age discrimination is no fun. I look like I'm 18 so I get no respect. I love the look on people's face when you are in an expensive store someone of our age group normally doesn't enter seriously, then buy something. I bought a piece of art and took the salesman by complete surprise. I ended up getting a huge discount and have gone back to excellent treatment. As a salesman myself I shy away from kids our age. Time and time again they are wasting time, where as "men" get my attention everytime. "Men" are usually buyers. If anyone ever saw "Boiler Room" the movie. Vin Diesel explains never flip the bitch either. No offense to women. They are my favorite people on earth.

i back you guys 100%... i get so much shit just because i am not 30... during christmas time it gets bad when i am in stores like coach, lv, or nordstrom picking up some nice stuff for my girlfriend... never get respect or attention untill i'm ready to pay the bill... but that's ok, people can be ignorant... i understand that 9 times out of 10 a kid my age will just screw around and leave...

in any event...i called the dealer, they said to come down and they will handle everything and change my oil for free... not a bad deal! + i am getting a new bushing installed to get rid of the clunk when you are driving slow and you press the clutch...it got really annoying.

If Cadillac wants to keep non-Escalade-buying customers coming from the 20 and 30-somethings they're gonna have to start retraining their dealership staffs.

It will help for about 1-2 weeks until the bushing gets deformed again.

Trust me. Being ignored in the stores is much better than having people hover over you.

I just went from 'punk kid with some $' to 'Can I help you, sir?' and would rather go back to punk kid status. Getting followed around stores by sales people sucks.
