View Full Version : Call me irresponsible! Just traded the V bobwhat 01-11-06, 12:45 PM Well after my second ticket going in excess of 100mph, one of them plus 144. for the sake my driving privledge I traded the V for an Escalade Ext. I had one before the V, and its really calming to drive (yeah right.) Thanks for all of the knowledge and the cyber companonship. :crying2:
One more question. It seems that its really easy to do and every third Escalade is getting stolen at one time or another. Any ideas from real enthusist's on how to hook up a simple kill swicth? Thanks for all your help its been fun.
Bob Florian 01-11-06, 12:49 PM youre irresponsible.
There!
F Understandable reason to trade the V if you can't control the right foot.
How about an alarm system with a starter kill plus LoJack with the Early Warning add-on ? chiro444 01-11-06, 01:11 PM You know the new EXT is coming out in 6 months, right? a64pilot 01-11-06, 01:13 PM Just put a switch that disables the fuel pump in a location only you know about. That should protect you from all but the most sophisticated thief, and only cost a couple of dollars. I had a similar routine with my RD400 (motorcycle). got one ticket a year (for several ) and they were all for speeding.:highfive:
Haven't got nailed yet with the V.
Probably because I don't romp on it all the time. DILLIGAF 01-11-06, 02:21 PM I hope you never get crabs or something. You'll be missing out on all kinds of fun! I'm guessing they radared you?

I probably shouldn't ask you how many years ago you had the old road dog (RD) those 2 strokes sure were fun weren't they. BTW, WERA has a formula RD series, guess what they race? bobwhat 01-11-06, 03:35 PM You know the new EXT is coming out in 6 months, right?
Got 0% financing and what I owed on the V not to bad I thought.
(boy the Escalade board is slow, nothing but Bling Bling questions) Irresponsible,

Did you get the 5.3L or 6.0? If you want to spice things up a little and add a little bling with added performance, Zoomers make a bolt on cat-back for the 5.3 EXT and Avalanche. $699.00 shipped. 304ss lifetime warranty and a money back performance guarantee. If you gotta go....that's the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:burn: Got 0% financing and what I owed on the V not to bad I thought.

If I was getting that kind of a deal and was looking to trade cars, I'd jump over the fence too.
Time to maggify that EXT.:canttalk: roadracerx72 01-11-06, 09:36 PM Well after my second ticket going in excess of 100mph, one of them plus 144.

Bob, How the hell did you get a ticket for 144?? The fastest ticket I've seen was 126 and that was because he decided to get off the freeway a couple exits up and had no idea he was being chased. I am sorry you are getting rid of the V. But 144?, it just may be in your best interest. Take care and good luck with the EXT. Nice truck. I opted for the Avalanche.

Ladis ylwjacket 01-12-06, 12:40 AM You can get Rick to tune it for you too. He did my wife's Escalade. I notice it - she probably doesn't. Dennisscars 01-12-06, 01:39 AM Good for you man.. enjoy your new ride. bobwhat 01-12-06, 01:22 PM Bob, How the hell did you get a ticket for 144?? Theres a couple mile strech of divided highway on the 395 in Inyo county. Classic T.V. speed trap except instead of hiding behind a sign He was behind a Port-A-Potty. I saw his lights were on before I even passed him so I just pulled over. I had to use the john anyway! Other one was just stupid on my part, coming down the grade into Camarillo on the 101 and he pulled up beside me smiling and shaking his head! :tisk: |
