Well, 400 horse LS2, guess I didn't expect anything Hemi-beating, but good enough. The interior looks amazing! The guage pod, now that's just plain gorgeous!

Looks great, but you all do realize it is still a concept? That mean the production model will be watered down A LOT from this model. I bet you anything that the interior in those pics is nothing we will be seeing, as nice as it is (the GM interiors are getting a bit better though). At least thats what Im expecting from GM.

The biggest problem is that even IF GM does build it, it will take too long to get it to market. The MOPAR cars are practically pre-production cars when they debut at these shows. This is what will make the difference. You have to be able to strike while the iron's hot. Since MOPAR seems to be leading this charge lately (after the initial shot from Ford with the Mustang), they have the advantage.

very true, big difference between concept and pre production, I am also scared that GM will find a way to mess it up somehow.

True. If it really will arrive sometime between 2008 and 2009, well, that's another 2 to 3 years from now. One thing you can say about Mopar and Ford (to a degree) is that they saw the light and jumped on the wagon. I'm sure the Camaro will sell, but getting it to the market a year, 2, even 3 years after the competition has already done so is going to hurt them big time.

Kind of like the PT Cruiser and the HHR? The PT Cruiser weathers the critics and establishes a market, then the HHR comes along and tries to capture some of that market. Sounds like the kind of thing the "Buy-American" guys are always bitching at the imports for doing, huh?

I hate to say but(as it has been stated)GM is once again slow to the market. The Camaro looks very nice and I would love to have one but the need to bring it to the market soon. Waiting until 2008-09 to unleash it will thousands/millions in lost sales because of people who want modernized old school muscle buying the Mustang or Charger because it is what is available at the time.

wow that interior IS gorgeous!
sad to say, but you know that interior wont make it to production, or atleast not like that, it'll probably be watered down after the bean counters get to it!
