View Full Version : How many caps do you have? SpeedyArizona 01-11-06, 12:35 AM I was searching through my closet earlier this evening and found a storage container FILLED with caps that I gathered from various places/events/products/etc and decided to count them a little while ago. All together I had 53! I'm still stunned that I have that many and trying to recollect how I managed to get them all.... So how many caps have you collected throughout the years? I think I have four or five...maybe six. There's really only two hats that you will ever see me where though. I just recently got the one on the left to replace the old one which was getting pretty worn. I still wear it occasionally if I'm working on a car or something, so I don't mess up the new one. I also hear that some people actually buy hats liek this that are already "pre-worn" if you will. Maybe I could sell it on ebay for like $100 and buy 4 more caddy hats (on in each color..haha).
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c48/danbuc/new-hat.jpg I'll never understand where this country is going. 25 years ago, the only people who wore caps like that were truck drivers and gas station attendants. Same thing about tattoos, except you could add drunken sailors to the list.
Now people don't even show the courtesy of removing their cap to eat in a decent restaurant. They have to be reminded to remove their caps for the playing of the national anthem.
I blame that hippity hop music. Probably close to 20, including 3 Cadillac hats... I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-11-06, 02:45 PM I have like 13 hats, all from car companies!
2 Cadillac
- BMW
- BMW M5
- VW
- Audi
- M-B
- Nissan
- Pontiac
- Oldsmobile
- Ferrari ($35!!!)
- Lincoln
and some others I cant remember right now FSU_Noles 01-11-06, 02:53 PM Probably around 40, most from my sports teams (Jaguars/Seminoles) and a smattering of hats I have collected from various golf courses. Damn. Nobody wants to take my flame bait. :( FSU_Noles 01-11-06, 04:32 PM I'll never understand where this country is going. 25 years ago, the only people who wore caps like that were truck drivers and gas station attendants. I'll take one for the team if you want..haha. I always take my hat off whenever I'm in someones house, or eating dinner, or in a resturant...ect..ect, simply because it's common courtesy and the polite thing to do. Hanging out in my friends basement, or crap like that is different, but whne I'm in someone elses home, or in a place there wearing a hat would be deemed rude and innapropriate....it always comes off. Especialy during the national anthem, pledge of allegiance, or anyother various patriotic songs. Now and then I'll see someone wearing their hat in a resturant, or whatever and I wonder why. There's no reason for it.
That good enough Elvis?.....
Oh, and I hate Hip Hop music too, Gimme some Stones, and some Zeppelin, and I'm good for the day. I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-11-06, 04:46 PM Gimme some Stones, and some Zeppelin, and I'm good for the day.
Hell yes! Another stones fan!
What are your favorite songs and albums?
Zeppelin is my #3 favorite band too! :) I'll take one for the team if you want..haha. You're a good American and your momma raised you right. :yup: Sympathy for the Devil has to be one of my all time favorite Stones songs. Angie, Beast's of Burden, Undermy Thumb, Satisfaction, there all good. 2000 Lightyears from Home is a good one two. Not too many people I know have heard that one though.
As far as Albums go, I don't really have a favorite I guess. I~LUV~Caddys8792 01-12-06, 06:00 PM You like a lot of the stuff from about 1966-68 except Angie and Beast of Burden which came out in 73 and '78.
For me, I like:
-Let It Bleed:
Gimme Shelter
Let It Bleed
Monkey Man
-Sticky Fingers
Sister Morphine
Brown Sugar
Moonlight Mile
-Exile On Main Street
Rip This Joint
Rocks Off
Let It looks
-Goats Head Soup
Dancing With Mr D.
Star Star (aka Star****er)
-It's Only Rock and Roll
If You Can't Rock Me
Time Waits For No One
Luxury
-Some Girls
Miss You
When The Whip Comes Down
Just My Imagination (Running away with me)
And I would have to say my favorite album by far is Sticky Fingers. (1971) I never wear hats, but I liken them to scarves. Just apparel I dont care about. Doesnt bug me one way or another if its worn indoors or out.
Oh yeah: Girls in baseball caps are HOT. | |
