Okay. I have the ultimate gift/incentive for you to buy a cadillacforums.com plate frame and help us spread the word about our friendly community. What's the ultimate goal besides building more traffic? I'm looking to provide you with a Cadillac Portal/Search Engine - right on site. It'll be sought of like having your own Yahoo! for cadillac sites ONLY. :) But, it's not free. So...

We're giving away 3 day/2 night hotel stay certificates to the next several people who buy a plate frame.

3 Day, 2 Night Hotel Stay Certificates:
Our 3 day, 2 night hotel stay certificates are valid at 20 great resort destinations throughout the U.S. and Mexico, including Las Vegas, Daytona Beach, Atlantic City, Palm Springs, Branson, Myrtle Beach, Cancun, Orlando, Anaheim (near Disneyland!), Pocono Mountains, Mazatlan, Breckenridge, Lake Tahoe, Laughlin, Puerto Vallarta, Honolulu, Gatlinburg, White Mountains, Phoenix, Victoria, BC. No timeshare presentations are required.

Each hotel stay certificate is valid for a 3 day, 2 night stay. At no time will you be required to attend any type of timeshare presentation. Basic restrictions apply (next section below), so please be sure to read the details.

We work with many different hotels in each location. The published room rate at the resorts averages between $70-139 a night.

Restrictions for hotel stay incentive certificates:
Because they are essentially giving these hotel stays away, the resorts have requested a few restrictions. You don't have to worry, though - we try to make it easy for you. Restrictions are few, and clearly stated. No fine print here!

Weekday check-ins, please.
60 days notice is preferred.
Each household may only redeem one free vacation per year.
You have until December 2, 2004 to take your vacation.
To receive the registration forms, a registration fee of $10 is payable by the customer upon registration.
Room taxes of about $9 per night are required by law and are due at reservation time.

That's all! You pay about $28.00 If you're looking for fine print, you won't find it here. No other fees will ever be collected.

Hotel Certificate Details:
Hotel rooms for free? How do you do it?
We've been getting this question quite frequently, so that's why we put it here first. The simple answer is that many hotels have low occupancy rates during the week. Rather than letting the rooms sit empty, they'd prefer to give them away to people in the travel business (the author of this eBook is also a travel agent). That's all there is to it!

To learn more about how this works, be sure to read the inside scoop (The "Inside Scoop" section is at the bottom of this page).

What exactly is each hotel stay certificate redeemable for?
Each of our hotel stay certificates are redeemable for a free 3 day, 2 night stay in one of 20 great destinations. No additional purchase is required, and transportation to and from the hotels is up to you. We estimate the average retail value of each certificate to be nearly $300.

A deal this great has to come with some restrictions. What are they?
We don't believe in fine print, and are happy to discuss all the details up front. Basic restrictions do apply, but you'll never encounter hidden fees, an unhelpful redemption office, or required timeshare presentations. Basically, we ask that you follow three basic rules to receive your 3 day, 2 night hotel stay:

1. You must check in to the hotel on a weekday.
2. You must give 60 days notice prior to taking their vacation.
3. You must pay a registration fee of $10, and state-mandated room taxes of about $9 per night (per room, not per person). No other fees are ever collected.

What hotels do you use?
Because the travel industry is constantly changing, we do not publish a list of available hotels. You don't have to worry about going on a less than superior vacation, however - probably the best way to describe them is that they are hotels that would normally cost the consumer between $70-139 a night. Typical chains include Marriott, Hampton Inn, Red Roof Inn, Ramada, and other well-known franchises. In Las Vegas and Atlantic City, we work with major casino hotels to provide a mini-suite.

Are you sure no timeshare presentations are involved?
This has become our second most frequently asked question. The answer is clear: we do not require any type of sales presentations from customers. No tours, no meetings, business opportunities, or anything similar.

When do the certificates expire?
Currently, the expiration date on all the hotel stay certificates we print is December 2, 2004. Many other issuing vendors are much stricter, with expiration dates as early as 90 days after issue.

Are there any blackout dates?
Dates near holidays are usually not available. Hotels are often full around the holidays. Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems getting the reservation you want.

Can you guarantee that all locations will always be available?
We can't promise that every destination will always be available at all times, but it's extremely rare when one isn't. We work with numerous hotels in each destination, so that if one ever drops out of our program, we have a backup.

How many vacations can I take?
A maximum of one per year.

Who pays the registration fee?
The $10 registration fee is paid by you.

How much are room taxes?
State law usually requires consumers to pay taxes on any stay at a lodging establishment, even if the stay is given away or "comped" by the hotel. You don't have to worry, however - we've made sure that taxes will never be higher than $9 a night. (That's per room, not per person.)

Are there really no other fees?
None at all. No purchase of airline tickets, car rentals, restaurant passes, or anything else is required.

The Inside Scoop:
All across North America, hotels have thousands of empty rooms available during the week. Most guests check in on Friday and Saturday, so frequently the hotels are actually losing money during the off-peak times.

Until recently, there wasn't much that the hotel owners could do about the problem. They had to deal with both the loss of revenue and the loss of happy hotel guests that would hopefully return for another visit.

Recently, however, many companies in the travel industry have begun to recognize the value of allowing guests to come visit during the week for practically nothing. If you think about it, it really makes sense for everyone. You get a great vacation in a luxury hotel, and they don't have to handle the problem of having excessive vacancies. Plus, they hope that you'll take advantage of their other services (restaurants, concierge, etc.) while you're staying in the room. If you like their property enough, they know you'll also probably recommend it to other travelers. It's a win-win situation!

Check out the page:

http://www.cadillacforums.com/support.html

They're $24.95 + $3.50 shipping. It's a pretty darn good deal altogether, I'd say.. Besides the hotel stay being nice, there will be another reason for people to visit the site and stay (when the portal goes up) - thus allowing for more cadillac connections such as group purchases and forum-member discounts. :D I think in the end, it's a win-win...

Thank you, Jay!! Front! Front! The lettering is engraved INTO the frame. They're like - cut out into it.. I can't find the right words to describe it.. I don't think it's possible for these things to fade any. When you get it, you'll understand. :p

Thank you very much! I bet we'll have a ton of new New York signups as soon as you get it. :)

Oh, and wow! No plate frames allowed by you, CTSAMG?

How many of you can fit a license plate frame on the back of your Cadillac? I've tried a few and they physically don't fit. The plate area on the back of my Seville is so tight, I can't fit one in there.

Jay. Don't worry. It fits on my '95 ETC. :) I have to place an order for these things and I'd like to get a few orders in before I do so. Then, it's shipped to me; then I ship to you.. If I don't get another order in a few days, I'll go ahead and ship it out. It's all you so far...

Sal, any other way to purchase/pay for the plate frame besides PayPal?? I'd like to buy one, although I probably won't put it on the car - but still want to support what you are doing.

Hi! Thank you for your generosity.. :) If you'd like, you COULD send me a check or money order. But maybe it would be best for you to wait until we get something you take a liking to. Is there something in particular that you'd like to see? I'm sure others would be interested as well...

Thanks again! :p

No, I like the plate frame - I wanted to support the forum/website in some way...so I can either purchase the plate frame or provide a "donation"...just want to do it some other way than through PayPal. Drop me an e-mail...

maybe a contest to design a decal would come up with an acceptable version?

i am not sure many members would apply a 'traditional' bumper sticker to their caddys, but a window sticker sounds like a good idea to me.

if you're not looking for a contest, i could probably come with a sticker for you.

Well. One person ordered. hehe. Your plate frame is on it's way to me. I don't know what the delay was - but I've verified that it's on the way to me - then to you. It should only be another few months now. hehe. Just kidding.. Hey. You get the hotel stay thing too. :D
