so I've been thinking of changing the color of my car since i'm not a big fan of black as much as i used to be because it really needs a lot of maintenance to keep it clean all the time and the weather here is not so friendly .. so i saw this shop who can do the plastic dip thingie for a really good price, but the questions remains if i'm willing to do it .. which color should i go with knowing that my wheels are black and i'm doing my grill black as well so which color should i go with .. any ideas .
Overtime they turn bronze with the help of brake dust. It actually looks pretty good bronze too. The pic doesn't show it, but the emblems are plastidipped black.
Sometimes a small change can make a big difference. I dipped my wheels and badges, and while I was at it I decided to try doing just the skirts and valances. I think it looks much better now, so much so that I've kept it this way for months now.
We recently took the dip off our V, were getting ready to dip it again, the only thing I would be concerned about is the texture of the finished product. Some shops will lay it down nice and smooth, it's hard to find some one who can do this with this product. I've seen jobs look like Rhino liner so be careful who you go to, I would definitely ask to feel one of there current cars.
One other issue we had were the door handle and the front bumper. When your going 75 down the hwy and bugs hit it it will stain a light colored dip, the good thing is you can go over the top with more dip. Other than that it very durable.
