Hey guys, our stock tire height is 27" front and 27.7" rears. I' know that the traction control and ABS have a fit if the tires get too far outside of that proportional difference, so I am wondering if this would even work. I want to go to a 20x9 setup with a 245-40r20 (27.7in height) or a 255-35r20 (27in height) at all 4 corners. Is this gonna cause a fit with the abs and TC? I don't want to deal with those freaking lights on all the time!
And yes, I know the rear tire will be narrower than stock in this setup. I don't track the car though so the added traction is not critical for me to have. Thanks!
Ah. That doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world. I had a mustang many moons ago and they could tune the car to default to OFF and if you pushed the TC button it would turn it on. Is that possible with the sts?
My winter tires are this way. It sucks. I will get the correct size next time so this doesn't happen. Why not just get the sizes I recommended? The rear tires will be toast in 1-2 years anyway.
Like Tim said. This is the way to go! I had 255's all the way around on my non-V and the tires fit great. Go with the 275's in the rear to keep the computer happy and she will look great as well.
I have a set of 20x9 with brand new tires, 631-620-3330 Mike
