Today i was going to work pulling the motor away from the transmission due to transmission failure. Unbolting the right rear tranny support i see stamped on the block "L37." The car is a 94 SLS. Now correct me if im wrong but i thought my car came with an LD8? or is this some generic marking on all the blocks. Now im curious as to if someone has swapped the motor and trans previously to STS gears and what not. The only code the car had before tranny failure was PO39. Can anyone tell me whats going on here? I should probably run a carfax and see what the cars been through. Thanks
