It's common knowledge that in many family businesses, Generation #3 screws things up.
One quote that comes to mind:
"Shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations"
I know there are about half-a-dozen similar quotes.
Another one sounded like this: "The first generation grows it, the second generation maintains it, and the third generation squanders it."... or something like that.
Anyone have any more???

Never enough time to do it right but always enough to do it twice.
The easiest way to make a small fortune is to start with a large one.
"Why put off today what you can put off tomorrow?"
"I only have two speeds, if you don't like this one..."
"Time is money and both are in short supply!"

One of my favorites has always been:
Low Price - Quality - Speed. --- Pick any Two.
Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute.
Having it all doesn't necessarily mean having it all at once.
There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.
The mark of a true M.B.A. is that he is often wrong but seldom in doubt.
Nothing is quite as embarrassing as watching your boss do something you assured him couldn't be done.
If all the lawyers in the world were laid end to end, it would probably be a good thing.
Among the chief worries of today's business executives is the large number of unemployed still on the payrolls. (I can name a few.)
If people listened to themselves more often, they would talk less.

"I owe, I owe; so off to work I go."
Also; but, off topic:
"I have never gone to bed with and ugly woman;
but, I have woken up with a few!":canttalk: :alchi: :thehand:
