Still saving up for new wheels.:bouncy: odysseus 12-26-05, 10:36 AM Mine got a set of lightly used V sway bars, courtesy of WildWhl, and will be getting the CMS headers, as soon as they're done. Mine needs a wash and wax, since I drive it daily for business and rarely have time. It's looking pretty grungy, but I'm taking the whole week off to get caught up! TripleOught 12-26-05, 11:21 AM oh yeah, i forgot to mention, my sister gave me a crap load of complete washed from a nice place here, plus a complete exterior detailing to triple wax her up. just need to wait until the weather is decent for that... RobertCTS 12-26-05, 11:23 AM Huggers, Corsa and chrome engine cover, plus a cars wash. I also put on last years snow tires(4). for my car?
muhahahahaha -=evil genius laughter=-
started talking to "the other guys"
they are a header shop :) Mine got moved to the other side of the garage.. As the race car is in bits and pieces. All say is I need to buy stock in PB, 11 year old bolts don't want to budge.
Its the only thing I don't like about new cars you can not work on them like old non-ODBII cars. I look at this 3.6L V6, and there no way in hell I'm working on that thing.. :) BishopRuger 12-27-05, 12:03 PM No performance goodies but got some some nice stuff to keep her smelling fresh and looking clean!!! SwftCdy 12-27-05, 12:05 PM Mine got a new set of tires ... and in return I got the oppertunity to break them in. :bouncy: My girl got a full detail (engine cleaned, wax, leather conditionor, etc)...it took me hours...but she's sitting pretty right now... pjohnesq 12-27-05, 12:37 PM Magnaflow Dual in/out center muffler; X-Pipe; CMS Headers and Huggers, 5 days "rest" (parked). What size tires did you get Doc?:hmm:
You have the OEM wheel set up don't you? No plans for a wheel upgrade? Riggidy 12-28-05, 01:35 PM heated seats. RobertCTS 12-28-05, 01:41 PM heated seats.
Hmmm. Did you add the HVAC dash controls or use the aftermarket seat controls? Riggidy 12-28-05, 02:58 PM aftermarket. I put the buttons on the center console between the shifter and the cup holder. Looks pretty nice. aftermarket. I put the buttons on the center console between the shifter and the cup holder. Looks pretty nice.
Pictures and Info if you don't mind, i've been considering this. But I need to keep stock appearance. If I can wire in the heated seats into the stock buttons on the HVAC controls. If not *shrug* Riggidy 12-28-05, 03:49 PM I can get pictures sometime. But it is really just as I described it. The only things visible are the two bottons (1 for each seat). The rest is hidden under the seat or under the center console.
What I did was unhook the plastic retainer from the leather seat and slip the heater element in the and taped it down. Then ran the wirte under the seat. Then I took off the back panel of the seat and unhooked some of those clips to loosen the seat cover. Then carefully pulled up the cover and placed the heater element, taped it and ran the wire down. I reattached all of the clips and the seat was done. I did this for both seats by the way.
Then I got power from the center console cigarette lighter for both seats using those 3M T-splicers. Drilled two holes in the center console with a 13"/16" bit. Then connect all of the wires and attach them to the bottom of the seat.
My only problem was that one of my drill holes didn't come off as clean as I wanted but I'll cover it with something hopefully. You could also put the buttons on the sides of the seat so it isn't too visible.
I recommend it. $200 for heaters, $3 for drill bit. $5 for splicers....4 hours or so. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Jay Where did you buy the pads from? Riggidy 12-28-05, 04:17 PM I got them from Heaterseat.com. I got the Heirgerat Setzt II seat heaters. But I don't recommend them. I wish they had the pad with the sticky side to put on the pad. These had tape and said something about glue. But I wasn't really sure. But I think the seat cover will hold them in place. If not, I will have to glue them in. I really don't want to take the seats apart again.

Sun roof haute_heir 12-28-05, 06:22 PM Oooh! I almost forgot! Till I got by bill for the 4 new tires I had to get for my CTS on the 23rd. My CTS got a $1000 present that I'm not so pleased about; 4 Continental Winter tires. All thanks to the ****ing idiots at Fountain Tire that ripped my tire when they dismounted it from the rim to fix the nail hole. Nobody in the city had a matching Eagle for me, so off I went to another place and got 4 snow tires put on. I'm now fighting with fountain to order and pay for the tire they wrecked, they seem to think it's my fault the tire ripped right along the seal bead, funny thing how 3 other tire shops knew they pinched and ripped it on their machine right away by looking at it. :(
GM has also got a present for the CTS, a new diff, hubs and accessory belts, its been in the shop for 3 days, should be done tonight!!! tonelocdog 12-28-05, 08:12 PM A lump of coal Me too!
I got a new (to me) 2004 CTS 3.6L White Diamond, Auto trans, Luxury package, 17" Sport wheel package, and Bose. It's has 13,000 miles and is imaculate. So far I love it. I look forward to being part of this forum.
Derrick LittleB 12-28-05, 08:56 PM Mine got a new polished billet grill and I am still waiting on the color matched rear bezel to arrive....:bouncy: :D DDS rollin a CTS 12-29-05, 12:43 AM What size tires did you get Doc?:hmm:

I've got them on the sexy stock 16" wheels (225/55HR16 i think). When it came down to the choice between show (wheels) and go (intake/exhaust), go won the fight. I'm sure at some point down the road I'll upgrade the wheels but theyre not a really high priority issue for me right now. I'll let you all know when I get the Volant installed (guess I ought to get it ordered first!). megeebee 12-29-05, 12:58 AM Nothing's too good for my car. I got it a tank of gas. Looking into heated seats, O.E.M Installation, found this TSB regarding heated seats.

Seems like the slip over non-functioning heating elements. Only missing element is the HVAC control buttons. These could be aquired out of a crashed CTS's interior? (of the same year with heated seats)
The heating elements themselves would be $124 without shipping from GMpartsdirect. Plus somehow getting the HVAC control.
Thoughts? Install difficulties? DDS rollin a CTS 12-30-05, 02:31 AM Got to try out the new tires on snow tonight. Its amazing how much grip new tires have compared to bald RS-A's! Oh, and I also ordered a Volant intake from lildevilmotorsports.com, but not until after I got them to drop their price to $255 (used to be $277). but not until after I got them to drop their price to $255 (used to be $277).
