Can I find a Catera with a CD in dash without the BOSE system? A dealer told me that that was possible. Is it? Or does he just want me to drop big bucks for a BOSE conversion? (Whjch I refuse to do)

I think now days it is possiable to get a non-Bose cd player, but back when the catera was in production if the car had a cd unit it had the Bose.

Okay, I know that I'm probably running this issue into the ground, but my car is non-bose. Would a non-bose in dash cd for a 98-99 eldorado, seville, deville be compatible with my 98 catera?

here is the link for the eldorado radio:

Why not get something aftermarket ??

I hate the look of aftermarket headunits, and I want to retain the use of my steering wheel controls. They're nifty little buggers!

You can retain the sue of the steering wheel controls with aftermarket units(there are adapters) and if you look around at good head units I'm sure you can find a nice one.
To each their own but I never liked the cheep sound of factory systems.
