: New 20" platinum wheels speedo ??

Hello all i am replacing my factory 17" wheels with the new 20" platinum wheels, and i want to know will ny speedometer be off by much and if there is a way to recalibrate it????

im actually about to do the same thing. the speedometer wont be off that much according to my service guy. he said approx 2-5 mph. but you can have your truck recalibrated by your dealership. just make sure they have the vci number to do it. also, i think you have to have the approved tire size (275/55/20) for them to do it. i think he quoted $125 to recalibrate it if i decided to do it. hope this helps at least a little. post pics when you put them on.

Your stock tire size was 265/70/17, your 20" Platinum tires are 275/55/20:
265/70/17 are 31.60" high
275/55/20 are 31.90" high
That is less than 5/16" overall
your speedo error will be .6 mph at 60, that means if your speedo is reading 60 mph you are really going 59.40, not worth talking about. :)

I have the Platinum Wheels on my ESV, I reprogrammed the speedo with the Diablo Sport Predator Programmer. I'll try and get some pictures up. I'm running 285/50R20 Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor tires.
