: Question about Nav. Screen

Hi I am a propspective buyer of the CTS-V and was wondering if the screen can be used as a DVD player or is it only for nav? To use the nav do you have to pay a monthly fee or is it come working? Also if it doesn't play DVD's is there any plug and play from like crutchfield or something that can make use of the screen for any other use? Anyone think about swapping this screen out for a different screen which plays more types of disc?
Thank You

Nav is free, comes installed and working in every CTS-V. The screen has a 6-disc CD changer below it PLUS a DVD player above it (doubles as the NAV and DVD player). You must be stationary with the parking brake on to utilize the DVD, but use the search function on the forum and you can find a button combo that will allow the DVD to continue to play without the parking brake on/when you are moving. Use the search function to also look for a recent thread regarding an aftermarket fix that mods the nav/dvd circuit board to allow full control/use of the DVD while moving with the flip of a switch.

Enjoy! Go pickup a V!!
