I was watching Fox news here at work, and they just said that comedian Richard Pryor has just passed away at the age of 65. I dont know the cause of his death, and I don't know that much about his work, but I know he co-wrote Blazing Saddles with Mel Brooks, and that was a very funny movie

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Richard Pryor, the caustic yet perceptive actor-comedian who lived dangerously close to the edge both on stage and off, has died, his ex-wife said Saturday. He was 65.
Pryor died of a heart attack at his home in the San Fernando Valley sometime late Friday or early Saturday, Flyn Pryor said. He had been ill for years with multiple sclerosis, a degenerative disease of the nervous system.
Sad.........he made me laugh many many times! R.I.P. Sir.

yeah i really loved him
saw him in vegas must have been 20 years ago lol
he always made me laugh
He could be very funny when he wasn't too raw. He was quite self destructive there for a while, nearly bought the farm years ago when he cuaght himself on fire while free basing. Soon after that was when he started exibiting symptoms of MS.
It' a shame.

He's definately one of the greats of all time, he's up there with Red Skeleton and Jack Benny.

Truly sad news indeed. Mr. Pryor was one of the greats. He gave us many years of his great work. I truly hope in death he is at peace. In this time, I wish to extend my sympathy to his family and friends. Most of all, I'd like to thank him for the entire sidesplitting laugh he gave me. He truly was one in a million and someone who paved the way for many others who have FOLLOWED his trail.
You know, great comedians are some of the most intelligent people and some of the unhappiest. To be able to make us all laugh while you suffer is a very spectacular thing.
I raise my glass to you Mr. Pryor. I know God is laughing his butt off right now having you in his kingdom!
He was the best comedian ever! Many were inspired by him and more were entertained. In a unique raw way he could make you laugh about the nastiest things. Now that is blues...
I already missed him, but may he rest in peace!
