It looks exactly like the Cadillac one but it's got the Buick trishields on it instead of the Caddy crest and wreath.

Dosen't the rearend look like a VW, forgot which one but I thoght that the instant I saw it.

Yeah, I've been talking about those Lucernes on the Buick/Oldsmobile thread.

I'd get one anyday. It's basically a DTS but for about $10,000 cheaper and a better suspension...It has heated windshield washer fluid!!! and a Northstar...for only $35,000!!!:bighead:

Hmmm its kind of like Buick's version of the Aurora.
Northstar V8, FWD, Sedan, $35k price tag. But this one is more conservatively designed.

And its just a better car. Buick is actually trying to compete now with the Avalon...;)

GM has so many good things going for them and if they could only get that shit out to the public their sales would pick up!

You guys are nuts. The 06 DTS is so much more pleasing to look at then that weirdly shaped Buick thing. I guess Im alone on this one but theres a reason the Cadillac is 10 grand more... Not to mention all the bells and whistles in the caddy.

The last Pontiac Bonneville GXP's had Northstars like that, too.

So my new car looks like a Buick, my Buick looks like a Lexus, and the VW looking one is competeing with Toyota, but it has a Cadillac Northstar and cost's $10,000 less than a Cadillac with a Northstar.

Sounds like Buick doesn't know where it is aiming. I like this new breed of Buick though. I bought one didn't I :lildevil:

If it really does drive better than the Avalon as Automobile Magazine claims, then it'll be a heck of car for 35k.

I heard its a surprisingly good car, especially from Buick who had gotten rather stale. Looks pretty nice, but I won't go northstar again.

There is a car in my area you may like. It is a '53 Studabaker. It has a Northstar motor. They got real creative with the cooling pipes for the install. It doesn't look like it belongs there but it all works. I'd hate to have to change the serpentine belt though since it is by the firewall.
