2004 model SRX. I do not have the navigation system. I am wondering how i can get the song and station title to appear constantly. When i press the up or down volume key on the steering wheel and continue to do so, eventually all the songs information will be displayed. Is this how it was designed or is there a setting I am not seeing? Thank you very much!!!!!!!!

I think there have been a couple of threads in the past about this, but no answer yet.
You can adjust the volume, or you can set one of your display buttons to the function that toggles from clock to "info". But, even that only displays the info for a few seconds and then toggles back to the clock.
It seems that the non-nav SRX radio is the same as (at least) one radio on the CTS because a few TSBs refer to both on the same TSB. Its strange because I've seen photos and video of the radio on the CTS and they have the info continously displayed. Where is that mode???

Yeah it just seems there would be an option to view the track information. I have a hard time remembering lyrics to look up the song on the internet.

I noticed my radio on my '03 Avalanche wasn't doing it anymore so I played with it and got it working threw the "RCL" button. The SRX does not have that button so I have failed so far.
I think the manual states that it should bring the artist and title up if the station is programmed to do so. Go Figure:bonkers:

I have had quite a few people complain about this feature.
CTS and SRX "base" radios don't make it easy to view track info.
We are talking XM here right?
Actually FM RDS or XM, I don't think either is easy.
You can set it up so when you press the tune knob 4 times it will display track info, but that is not very easy either.... pressing the button 4 times I mean.
I am not sure who GM buys those radios from. Next time I have one out I'll check into it and see if the manufacturer put their name on the radio.
I don't think it's a Delphi unit but it could be.
