Even though this is a Cadillac site, I've mentioned and shown pictures of my '64 Impala a number of times (BTW, thanks for all the compliments and no, she's not for sale—ever), so I thought I'd let you know that the Web site I created is back online at http://gdwriter.com.

I started it back in 1999 to teach myself how to program Web pages, and it's grown from there. The Car Shows section is currently closed because I haven't resolved the space/traffic issue that took it offline for several months, and I've got thousands of car show photos. But I think everything else is there. Send me an e-mail or PM if you find any broken links or missing pictures. Suggestions are welcome, too.

My first car was a 68 impala convert (my dad bought it for me for $300 in 1976) wish I still had it!!!

I can't even count the number of people at car shows who have told me they used to have/wish they still had one of these classic Impalas.

As you can see on the My First '64 Impala (http://www.gdwriter.com/first.html) page, I wish I still had the one I grew up with and learned to drive in. It took 15 years for me to find Betty, but at least I did. Plus, Betty is the same color that Nellie was.

A friend of mine built a 64 four door in high school as his senior project...I helped a bit, but it turned out beautiful...its been through a lot and we had some good times in that car...not sure where it is now, but I do like 'em...

Good to see the site is back!
It was down the last time I checked.

Funny how wire wheel covers cost more than power brakes!
