My 92 STS seems unstable on the highway when it is very windy.

Do you think this a result of a lack of toe-in in the alignment or is it possible that in high winds my car should just feel unstable?

My local alignment expert (B-Line Front End Service in Fullerton, CA) checked my 99 Cad Concours on 3/8/2002 for a similar problem after my local dealer repeatedly said "alignment within specs"; he explained that Hi performance FRONT DRIVE vehicles really need to be very slightly TOWED OUT -not in- due to "torque effects" on FWD. He checked parts to ensure no extraordinary wear and re-aligned to his values; my torque steer, wind steer, and front tire wear issues seem to have been solved...at least to my satisfaction!! Suggest you check with a comparable alignment specialist for your part wear and alignment.

I think it is the nature of the beast. Mine is the same.
