I have an '88 Sedan DeVille and recently blew the transmission. I plan on fixing it myself with a rebuilt unit. Is there anything I need to know beforehand? Any tips? I've never done this before but I'm pretty sure I can figure it out so any help would be much appreciated.

88 deville. replace VCC and flush system out with clean fluids only, (obvious) rockauto sells an overhaul kit.... www.rockauto.com i've got a 5% discount code somewhere, but you could google rockauto discount code and find one there too lol. good luck! it cost me 1,760 to have it rebuilt by aamco. while i have a general idea whats going on in there... i did not have the time to learn i needed it fixed asap. let me know how it goes! and take pictures :)
