: Getting My Old Car Back!!!!!!!!!!

im getting my old car back! not my Fleetwood. im getting my Cutlass back. well hopefully, the loan should go through, i cant imagine it not. anyway, not quite three years ago i traded my first car for a 1984 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham. it was/ is a lowrider. had alot of problems though. didnt have a steering wheel cover so if you wanted to honk the horn you had to touch the wire to the metal :ill: , no power steering, hole in the trunk from where it was channeled, the exhaust leaked through cause there was no pipe to run it out, that meant the windows had to be down when driving, to roll the windows down... well lets just say you had to pass the whatever back and forth to get them down (they were broke off and the other was missing), power seats didnt work, interior was tore up, no fender wells, the front end was primer, and it didnt have any material whatsoever on the top. also it was an open title. well i got the title worked out but all the other problems persisted. well i sold it to a friend of mine and he sold it to another friend of ours. he put alot of work into it, new interior, exhaust, power steering, new paint, better hydraulics, power steering, power seats, power door locks, a cover for the steering wheel. he basically tore it down and rebuilt it. well now he wants to work on his 64 Impala and is selling it. he wanted 4k but offered it to me for 2,5k so i filled out a loan application today and am going to hand it in tommorrow. hopefully by friday ill have my baby back. i cant wait, its driving me crazy. first thing ill do is get some pics of it so everyone can see it. well that is if i can get cheap enough insurance. it is only going to be drove on weekends/ holiday's/ special events. so its not gonna be driven much and i dont want to pay an extreme amount for just a weekend cruiser. so all, wish me luck!

thanks bro. yeah its a damn good deal. he put alot into it. he rebuilt the engine too. and someone said he put a digital dash in it but im not sure if thats true. i havent seen the car in 2 and a half years and i never talked to him about it... just hows my car coming along? "MY car is coming along just fine." the loan should go through, mess up at the bank and my CTS (well the loan anyway, the car and all is in my name) is in my moms name so i am only going to show that i am in debt for 200 bucks on a credit card. so it should all go through. also its only 60 bucks a pay period if i do get it (for 24 months) so i think i am getting a great deal on it. also i am working the races this year at Bristol so i should hopefully make enough to pay off the loan. i cant wait to have my baby back.

ha, i thinks it might be best to be quiet, Tom is looking hungry...

man i cant wait to get my baby back... this is killing me... i cant wait to get behind the wheel of it and hit some switches again (i know, its only been a few months since i hit switches but man, you start to miss them after a while). shoot, i still reach for a switch box when i get in my car. i guess i subconciously (is that spelled right and is it even a word?) do it. i dont know.

Mccombie, Being Joe Pesci in the signature is a great thing. Pesci is always this nasty lil guy that always is the scariest charachter in his movies. (goodfellas, Casino) but in the end, he always dies which sucks

This is fortunate to hear, 93fleetwoodlowlow, very good news! I hope your loan goes through. If all goes according to plan, would you post a few pics for all of us to drool over?

Good deal LowLow. I'm sad now because I can't get my Roadmaster(fuel not getting to engine and I don't have the resources to bring her here and rehab). But do post pics when you get her back. Congrats.

thanks. man i can still remember the first time i saw her... front end locked up, batteries chargin in the trunk, a knife in the space where the windshield wipers are... ah memories. now she is all fixed up (its a lowrider too) and runnin strong. actually, when i changed the oil there were metal shavings mixed in with it. it was (i guess) from where it hadnt been changed in so long. and it still ran perfect. i tell ya, you cant keep a good car down.

thanks bro. i am will get the loan, im about 99.9% sure of it. the car is mine (well sorta). i will definitely post pics when i get it... well lets not jump ahead right yet. ya see its gonna be a weekend cruiser so i got to get insurance that wont be so expensive cause in reality i cant afford my CTS, the insurance on it, my Deville's insurance, and then payments on the Cutlass and its insurance (cause it would be expensive). so i gotta get collector car insurance... stuff that only costs like maybe 200 bucks a year. will post pics though so dont worry.

Give it a shot, couldn;t hurt!

I think the key is to totally believe the line yourself then call in sounding sure and slightly annoyed at their 'screw up'
:D

there is no way it would work for me cause the credit union does payroll deduction and it would have showed up through finance if i got it or not. if it was denied and i said i got it, well that wouldnt be good, see you all in a few years cause id get locked up for fraud. and the loan company is my credit union so they would know.
