I have been thinking of changing my cats to Random Technologies direct replacement units to compliment my B&B x pipe system. I realize that headers will give me a ton more power, but I don't want to change them out if I sell the car in a year or two. I also did a search, but would like some updated opinions.

How much will it increase the exhaust tone(drone) and at idle and WOT?
Will they bolt up to the B&B x pipe no problem?

Thanks

Dave

I'm not sure how many have RT Cats at this point. I know Me, Florian, and Lasstss do. Non of us have used the B&B X Pipe combo, with the RT Cats to my knowledge.

In my Corsa set up, it introduced NO drone. It lowered the tone of the exhaust note, and was louder, but again, no Drone.

I would assumed that it would bolt up just fine, as the RT Cats are desinged to mate with the stock exhaust, and the B&B (and Corsa for that matter), are desinged to mate up to the stock cats. So....

I had no fitament problems with the RT Cats, and they seem to be very well made. My wife ordered the cats for me from Martel Brothers, which was a good experience (not sure if any authorized vendors sell them?). Lasstss also got his from there.

I noted approx 10 rwhp from the setup. Not sure how the 3" B&B + X-pipe will affect this number.

I am very happy with my decision to go with the RT Cats, and stick with the stock manifold. Zero issues!

I have the RT cats directly bolted to the B&B X-pipe -- bolting up was no problem.

Unfortunately, I didn't pay close attention to the difference in drone so I can't give you any help on that topic. If I recall correctly, I'd have to say the whole exhaust note became a bit deeper.

Thanks for the input. Anybody else?

Where is the best place to buy them?

RT Cats' website (http://www.randomtechnology.com) states usage of their cats is illegal in CA vehicles unless specific conditions are met (car older then 5 years, existing cats not functioning properly, etc.,) Anyone in California using these cats without issues? If so, how done and more importantly, where bought?

I'm not too worried about their legal disclaimer. They are easy enough to take on and off for smog in 2009.

I have used their direct replacement cats on my camaro and the fitment and quality was good. I would not hesitate using another one of there products.
