: We Can't All Drive Caddys...

I'm sure some of us have other cars we use when we don't wanna put our golden luxury behemoths in harms way or put any kind of strain on them. Post a pic of your Anti-Caddy be it a winter car, beater, or just something for distances or as an in the shop back up. Here I present my '99 Malibu LS. The 3.1 V6 in this thing has got some kick to it lemme tell you. The car also has a great stock sound for a V6. You could almost mistake it for a small block 8 just by the sound of it. These shots are about a year old, it's in the shop right now for slight overheating and the ABS light being on. I'll grab some newer shots when I get it back. I didn't like this car when I first got it but this thing is pretty zippy and a blast to drive! This to me is a very well built Chevy.

Well, it isnt a picture of my actual car, but it might has well be, it looks the same, just with the paint in slightly worse condition and with a dent on the other side in the front fender from when I did something stupid. Pity me, for I have a crappy daily driver :o. Gets me from A to B fairly cheaply though, but I have considered getting something a little newer, an early ninetees taurus would be a little nicer, and a little more practical and cost about the same to buy since they are all bottom of the barrel cars.

1990 Maxima. Mine's burgundy red with a blue interior and has a 5-speed manual. I'm picking it up at the end of the month.

When I'm not driving this:

I'm driving this:

Or my parent's car, one of these:

(OK, that's a 93 and ours is a 92, plus that's lowered, but they're both white and both the same bodystyle.) Parents are thinking of buying another car... I'm aiming for a 91+ Town Car, or since my mom likes Volvos a 750 Turbo...

Seeing all those cool winter "beaters" makes me wish I lived up north where I needed one!

The wife and I are already talking about retirement. I say we move to Wyoming or Montana. She just wants to play golf all the time. Looks like we'll be moving between the northwest and the southeast.

I'll need plenty of vehicles for all those different climates!

Guess I'm not the only one that forgot to downsize, sorry.:D

Mine aren't winter beaters, in fact the Caddy will get driven in bad weather before those do, but usually I drive my Tahoe.;)

I have a photo of my old Isuzu that i used as a beater car until last year, i havent any of my Vectra or any of my other cars on the computer (damned camera)

Here it is, currently owned by my dad's wife.

Heh, what a crate, i must say, i neglected it much, and this was taken AFTER my dads wife had owned it a while....

LOL

Ok, time to up the ante!

Here is a 1993 Rover 214i that my wife, and following that, my dads wife drove as a beater until the head gastket blew at 140000 miles.

It was also a crate of shit, literally, she keeps horses :sneaky:

The epitome of the "anit-Caddy" must be my 68 Dodge Dart: Handles like a slot car, rides harsher than my truck, but will cruise effortlessly at over 100 MPH. It was actually built to chase new Corvettes, but solo back road runs with lots of throttle induced oversteer is a wonderful stress reliever.

My winter beater is my 1994 Sedan Deville! I just bought some snow tires for it, so I'm all set! :) And the remote starter is a must have during the winter!
But soon to be put away for the winter are my 2000 STS and 1979 Deville. :(

If I could get a winter beater now, this is what I would get:

1990-93 Honda Accord: cheap, reliable, boring, nothing I would care too much about, efficent, economical
http://i18.ebayimg.com/04/i/05/22/3c/6b_12.JPG

1987-90 Electra/Ninety Eight: cheap, reliable, luxurious w/ out being "too nice", efficent, economical

Heh, that scooter reminds me of a joke promotional poster I used to have. It read:

(picture of car chassis with a toilet on it)
Toyota and Chevrolet introduce a new car for the masses... Toylet!

-Single and dual seater models available.
-Runs on natural gas
-power wipers
-enema kit for hard starts
-luxury kit includes magazine rack and heated seats.

Dual seater model available with half seat on passenger side (for half assed spouses riding shotgun)

Wish I still had this, I don't know what ever happened to it.
