Right now my Bimmer has 11 more monthly payments left, and my Eldorado is completely paid off.
Does anyone else have a seperate bank account that you use towards your next car or car payments? I started this many years ago, and it seems to work well for me, then I KNOW when I can afford my next vehicle.
As for my next car, I'm going MOPAR either a:
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda
1969 Pontiac GTO
1970 or 2008-2009 Dodge Challenger
1970 Plymouth RoadRunner
It's quite possible that by the time my next car purchase rolls around, the expected 2008 or 2009 Dodge Challenger will be out on the market. If that's the case, my next car will be the 2008-09 Challenger IF it looks anything like the original one. I love this conception!

there was/ is a 1976 Lincoln Continental (i think) black on black at a Ford dealership along with a Model A(?) both sitting in their show room. neither are for sale, i tried. i fell in love when i seen it. that was a big car. it seemed like it stretched for miles. i dont know but it might have been larger than the 75 SDV i looked at. it was all stock too and not a scatch... it was like it just rolled off the factory line. im not sure of the mileage, low im sure. as soon as i can remember ill give you the name of the place.

I've got 2 cars: An ETC and a 75 Deville. The 75 will be a project car, and I just might try to turbo the ETC. So I'll be keeping both around for quite awhile. I though about an STS-V in 5-7 years, but I'll already have a big sedan that hauls ass.

So I suppose unless I accidently knock up some chick or something I'll pick up an XLR or if I can get my hands on one, an XLR-V. Just something I can cruise in with the top down on a nice day...

My parents are going to buy a 92 Taurus SHO, though. Just as cheap transportation, they could care less about performance and looks.

Definitely looking at the same cars. Right now the A8 is getting higher on my list but maybe more than I want to spend. I would be getting a 97 for sure, and I definitely will have the money to spend on repairs if Im not making the absurd payments I used to. The question you have to ask is, how much is it worth now?

$20k?

Many 18 year olds can afford that. My son drove my Range Rover before i bought it, he was only 22, and it was a 70k car.

Oh yeah no problem! Just 'put out vibe' :)

A while back, my friend and I (we were both unemployed) woke up around 10AM on a Tuesday and decided to go buy some brunch.
Since we didn;t think we were getting out of the car, we wore pajamas, hair messed up, sh1t in the eyes...you get the picture.

One thing led to another and we ended up eating at a nice restaurant then driving around Beverly Hills. We went to the Porsche dealership, the Jaguar, Mecedes, Rover and test drove all kinds of cars (like the XKR, SL600, Carrera 4 vert, G55 AMG). The way the sales guy figured it, he must have thought that since we were roaming the streets on a regular workday, dressed in pajamas asking to test drive 6 figure rides.....we were probably VERY rich <or maybe not>. I guess they figured they'd be safe and treat us like celebrities!

I'm looking to buy an '80 - '82 vette over the winter. Preferably under 60K miles and in great shape. NOM is OK, in fact preferred since these years were only 180 - 230 HP. Whatever it is, it will eventually be north of 300 HP. Retrofitted 5 speed would be great. A stock 4-speed manual or '82 4-speed automatic would be OK. Red, dark red, silver, and blue are preferred colors. No black, beige, brown, light green, yellow, or tu-tone. Interior must be leather. If you know of anything within 200-300 miles of Detroit, please let me know.

As for daily drivers, I'm planning on keeping the CTS and Sierra Denali for a while. I may consider the new CTS when it comes out.

This 2003 STS is my 3rd Caddy. Seems I get a different Caddy every so often. Looks like I may get an STS, if they're still cranking them out. However, I won't get the 2005 or earlier model years. Too new.

My first caddy was an 85 Deville. First model year for that body style. It came with the HT4100.

My second caddy was the 93 Deville. It came with the 4.9. Last model year for that design, so I think they got many of the bugs worked out and all the improvements were included.

My third caddy (current one) is the 2003 STS with the N*. Last model year for that (not counting the 2004 SLS). It has all the bells and whistles, latest engine, etc.

I have always been a BMW man, but the Caddys are just so dang affordable when bought 2 yrs old and warranties are still in effect. I can work on most parts of a Caddy. I think I can forget about working on most parts of a BMW. Parts cost? Caddy = mostly affordable. BMW = outta sight.
