I still have enough material for about a half dozen Raven Black eyelids. I've already mailed out a bunch. I can also mail you a template for the fronts..lost the rears but it's not tough to do. You need to PM me your mailing address. Here's some installed front and rear pics.

Robert,
I am assuming that you installed those on the outside of the housing right? I need to find a way into the capsule....

FYI what material are you using?

Hi Reed,
I'm using non tranparent black vinyl. On a black Caddy it's a perfect match. It is applied to the outside and after a year show exceptional wear.:D

I'm out of material guys. I had 10 requests and only enough material for 6-7 sets. The guys that were first will be happy with the results.

I managed to get 7 sets of eyelids out of the remaining material. I feel bad in that I had about 10 requests. I can give you a link to where I got my 2'x5' piece of vinyl. It's about $17. Then maybe you can also help others with your remaining material. :)

According to their website, you can also buy it in 24" x 12" pieces for $6.00.

Looks good on the brakelights. I was contemplating painting the tops of mine in Stealth Gray.

I was thinking that the body color should cover more down the side as well to triangulate the 'lens' back toward the decklid instead of the wedge look going backward up into the fender. That is the only thing that really bothers me is the tailight lens wandering up into the fender.

I think Dubbed Stealth did something like that. It looked good.

Uh! After ordering the $6 regular vinyl I noticed the peice
used by RobertCTS is the sunvisor strip which is a *HIGH GLOSS* vinyl. In short I just flushed $18.95. So thanks for the misinformation. :thepan: Teach me not to do my OWN research. :annoyed:

I'd be interested in these. But I think I'm also under the 50 post count?

Can you email me at ssme26@hotmail.com ?

All of my material is gone. The best I can now do is mail the template.

The $6 dollar piece I ordered is HIGH GLOSS. :thehand: Maybe you ordered the wrong one. It matches my car perfect. I will take pics of the work I did with it. I found another great spot where this stuff can be used. Thanks again for the idea Robert. :worship:

Thanks for the pointers. I did some more searching and it looks like the concept stems back to the Tim Allen CTS. The painted taillight doesn't quite look that great in light color, but it is certainly headed in the right direction.

Hmm... very odd that the pic shows up in the edit window and just the link in the preview window. I'll still try it anyway.

I did the same thing with the left over vinyl I had. After being behind a CTS the other day I couldn't stand looking at those huge reverse lights. It looks great on black. I'll take some pics tomorrow. :D
