i was driving my baby a little hard one night, and bad things started to happen right away. first the 12V cig port started to buzz with my cell phone charger in it... i took that out and it stopped. but now it almost sounds like the climate control is constantly running... even when shut off it sounds like the fan is going, but the noise is a tad bit rougher; not as smooth as the fan. i put my hand over the vents/ heater and can't feel any air moving
anyone have any ideas?

There is a small intake vent for the asperator on the left side of the steering column. Could it be coming from there? Does the noise change with fan speed?

no sir, i dont believe it has anything to do with the fan or climate control system, but i could be wrong. its coming from directly under the climate control system, in the middle of my car, in front of the center console and shifter
it aint that loud either but its kinda bothersome when i want the interior quiet
AND, today it did not make such a noise, sooo.... i donno

Hmm, my '02 has a fan somewhere in the console for the rear seat, not sure if yours does. That's about the only other posibillity I can think of.

well, the noise quit a while back. it is still a mystery, though cuz now my passenger power point doesn't work
