When I was in my early 20's I drove a '70 Corvette. I didn't need 4 doors, nor did I need the "baggage" that came with a Cadillac. I loved the image of the 'Vette, along with the performance. I think a Caddy is like a gold watch. You are supposed to "earn" it.

Turning 49. Lot of young guys with good taste in cars. When I was that age muscle cars were dime a dozen....that is what we all drove. 1500 was not alot of money but then car's like the 70 Chevelle 396 4spd cowl induction, rip the retas from your eye balls fast was alot of car....gas was cheap and didn't last long. Cruzin was pretty cool when I think about all my freinds were driving the same type of cars....it was something I didn't realize back then. Just image keg party down on the bank of the Red River...Many guys trying to out do each other with there cars....Cuda,s, early impala SS's, 60's Camero's, GTO's, Rebals, Mach 1 Mustangs....you get the point. I'm lucky to have a pristine original '68 GTO 4spd tuned to 450hp 500 ft lbs of bottem end Pontiac power....pick up Grama's garaged Diamond gold 92 Touring Coupe...it's loaded with the good stuff. great pull of the bottom..Love it!

Dodge Spirit to a Caddy...Oh man, that is a huge step up, huh?

This is my first Caddy. I am very happy with it. Don't even feel a desire to get a newer one. When I got it, the Expedition was less than a year old, and I still favored it over the the Expedition. My wife drives the Ford. My car before the Caddy was a 72 Olds 98, poor man's Caddy. Drove it for 8 years.

46 - at least for the next couple months - 1992 Seville - my first caddy (although I have owned luxury cars in the past - for example - a 1949 Packard Super Eight) - the caddy was a gift - from someone who had been trying to get me out of a CJ5 for quite a few years - it worked.

I'm 18 and I bought a 99 STS a few months back.

Most of the younger set (under 20) have had their cars handed to them. I DID inherit my granfathers 94 Buick, which I drove from 16-18. I'm currently selling it, but I do not need the money from it to finance the purchase of the Caddy. Money from working (Got VERY lucky with my job, 10 dollars an hour) and general savings and survivors benefits from my father's passing, allowed me to purchase my STS 100% myself.

I' was raised with Buicks, I was almost born in the back seat of a 69 Electra duece and a quarter, my grandma had a carolina blue 78 Park Avenue, then bought her current 91 PA, my grandfather had a Burgundy 78 PA and later bought my 94, My uncle has had a few mid 90's regals and currently has an 01 Park Avenue Ultra, mom had several mid 90's PA's and currently has a 99 PA, one cousin had a Rendezvous and the other had a 91 ultra and now hass a 99 Regal GS (Wow, this os ONE long, run-on sentance, my english professor will be impressed :) ). I broke the mold and bought a Cadillac, It's good to be 18 AND king :)

Thats awesome I respect you for that! I also bought my STS myself. It bugs the hell out of me when parents give their kids a $15,000 car cuz most of the kids don't care and usually end up trashing and then just getting another car so they learn nothing at all. Ive bought every car ive ever drove and am paying for my entire college.

Same here! Nothing against those who had their Caddy handed to them, if your here on a forum, chances are you care for it alot more than a spoiled little rich kid and you really appreciate it, props for that.

I had a friend who thought she was the sh** because she had a Jaguar XK8(correct model?) her parents bought her. She rolled it 2 weeks after getting her license. Parents bought her a Scion tC, had that for about a year then wrecked it. Parents bought her a second tC. Spoiled brat.....

I'm paying for college too. Student loans will put me in debt to around 80000 or so in 6 years. I'm going for Pharmacy at UNC Chapel Hill. Go Heels!
