In the off-topic section, I frequently run into posts discussing some non-Cadillac cars.
I propose that all subjects related to cars, but not related to Cadillacs be placed in a separate section.
That way our forum will be more compartmentalized.
Give it a thought. :D

This is known as the lounge...... Which we have!! Anything of those terms can go in there...

I originally thought of having a Competitor Cars section - but most people didn't want an extra forum. Another thing people mentioned was there probably wouldn't be enough discussions to warrant an extra forum.
So, the Lounge remained the place to discuss things other than Cadillacs...

My take on rice... ten pages. Lexus, Lexus and more Lexus...2 or 3 pages. There is plenty to write about.

There's usually only a couple of posts about other types of cars in there. Compared to the non car related posts or driving posts in general there really aren't too many.
It's also a Cadillac site not a general automotive site so I don't know if it's a good idea to have another section just to attract more posts like that.
I think by comparing cars, we can learn a lot more. For example maybe someone is thinking about buying a new Deville, they cannot decide between that or a new BMW 5 series. I cannot count how many times I've seen newbies post something like this. By discussing other cars IN THE LOUNGE, we can appreciate the ultimate experience of driving a Caddy. Where would Cadillac be if it were never compared to a Lincoln, or a Jaguar? Sure this is a forum for Caddies, but a lot of members have other luxury cars also, and personally, I like to know where I would stand if I buy a 2004 Deville, SRX or Seville. GM can also improve upon the brand by offering better or more useful options, technology in our cars, by comparing to other makes and models. IMO. :yup:
