Temps in the 60's beautiful day. Comp mode, 8 passes.
Best run :
.143 reaction (best of the day .074, worst .230 or -.008 with a red)
2.26 60' (this was my best, worst 2.45)
9.206 1/8th @80.89 mph
14.011 1/4 @ 102.98 ( best speed 104.43, worst ET 14.26)
Wheel hop in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, lowered the tire pressure to 22lbs and that helped a little, My rev limiter starts cutting out at about 6400 rpm is this normal? Launching at 1300 rpm sucks, but any higher and it feels like a spastic kangaroo. I was expecting at least mid 13's. I banged every gear, like every stick i've ever raced, maybe thats the problem. I been drag racing all my life and I can't remember anytime I've been more perplexed at how to hook up. A 2006 SRT-8 was running 12.9 and I was embarrased.
I know I want the stealth tune to move the rev limiter among other things. Whats a good rpm to limit it to? Any Ideas? Please note the mods above, I have run craps.

Engineers say above 6800rpm and you can float the springs...not good. I'd love to overrev the motor a little, but man it could get costly.

My best time was a 13.4 @ 112 with 60 ft @ 2.2. I took off from the line very gently due to wheel hop. I shifted slowly, again due to wheel hop. When I put my foot down in second, the car started to spin again. I now have the BMR pinion support and GM bushings installed. Going back to the track this Friday. Hopefully, I'll be able to break into the 12's. The F1's are hard to hook up, but I don't want to bolt on some slicks in case the diff blows.

2 hour drive to the track, heat soaked to hell, 95+ degree day and with my mod's I netted a 13.5 @ 106.5mph and I missed shifted or missed 3rd on both my runs. I was disappointed too, but I chalked it up to user input. (as in I suck) I'm looking forward to a little redemption once my tune, headers and short shifter are in. :lildevil:
