This is the 2006 Studebaker XUV, built by the Avanti Corporation. Well, it's definitely rare and unusual.

Here's the link:

Looks like a home-made-hummer-project done on a tight budget.

Maybe it will top something, like a Suzuki Samurai, but not the ESCALADE!!!!!!!!!!

The sad thing is, it will take one celebrity to purchase one and "trick" it out, before everyone asnd their dog wants one.

Looks like they updated the look. Their first rendition (2005?) looked a bit TOO much like the HUMMER and GM sued. Now it looks like an armor-plated Expedition. Fugly to me. I'll stick with my 'lade, thank you.

I guess Ford will have some use after all for their V10 engines after killing the Excursion off, other than trucks that is...

IMO that is one gross looking vehicle. To each its own. I wouldn't except one for free. It looks like a backyard project :cookoo:
Peace Xrayqueen :)

I just don't think it would ever top the Escalade because it has they have very little brand recognition where as just about everyone knows what a Cadillac Escalade is.

They also lack the dealer network that General Motors has already established.

I dunno. A lot of people remember Studebaker. The last one was in 1966, so plenty of guys who were young back then now have money. Of course, the XUV is definitely only going to be limited production.
