Engine is the XV16, a 32-valve engine displacing 13.6 liters and produces 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lbs.-ft of torque.

Hi Andrew! Thanks for signing up. :) The car looks a little long-nosed - but over I think it looks okay.. Of course, this exact look is unlikely to ever happen - but I could see some of the styling in future Cadillacs.. The engine would be a bit overkill, though. :D

I recall reading that they had to extend the nose of the Chevy Suburban 5 inches so that they could test the engine :eek:

Well that's certainly unique.. I guess they'd take it off for working on the middle.. But, not so bad if you just need to work on one side.. Wierd!

IF THEY RELEASED IT TOMORROW I KNOW OF AT LEAST ONE THAT WOULD BE SOLD!! AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN OVERKILL ON THE ENGINE? THERE'S NO SUBSTITUTE FOR RAW HORSEPOWER/TORQUE IN MY BOOK....I LIKE IT!!

Well.. Overkill because of the gas. :p Otherwise, it's fine. :D It may be a little heavy too... You don't need 1000 horsepower to get you into the 11's in a heavy car.. 400 would do the job..

True you don't need that much HP to get it to 11s but heck if you can, why not!?!
It just sounds and looks good. :D

Hey, Ya-Know I'm just a horsepower freak! That's why my 80 C.I. Harley puts out 105 horses at the rear wheel on the Dyno in my shop! and does 170/mph on the dyno (150+ in the real world) Just the idea of 1000 ponies makes me happy. Also, Read the article that accompanys the photos it reads as though the car isn't that heavy. Besides my buisness partner and I used to drag race a Kenworth truck for fun at the truck drags....So, We're probably "NUTS" anyway.......We always have fun though.
