Guys - have and LS2 Vs hit the road yet? Cadillac is not supporting the '05s on leases anymore so I'm going to wait for an '06. I drove an '05 GTO today with 6 speed and it was awesome. Any thoughts on why Motor Trend found the LS6 V to be faster than the LS2 GTO?

To answer your second Q first. Gearing. The V has taller gears in 1st allowing for a quicker launch. The answer to your 1st Q is that production is on hold for some reason and I dont think any have been put out yet. There was another thread about a fella in Canada who was waiting for his which was due out rather close to this week....

No 06's have hit the streets yet. The closest one we know of is http://http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55267 that one.

Because its a stronger motor. Motor Trend is not the only one to find the ls2 a little on the lazy side.

What do you mean "stronger motor" ... "lazy". The graphs I've seen show that the LS6 is on or under the LS2 HP line throughout the powerband? It seems like the LS2 has very similar specs and since the GTO is lighter, I would have expected it to be faster. The gearing ratio does answer that question though.

If StealthV tuned a V with each engine the LS2 should put more power to the ground.

But from what I've read the factory puts a massive amount of torque management into the tune for the LS2, even more than they did for the LS6.
