I was using a 19mm wheel wrench and on some of them it was stripping.
Is it SAE or Metric?
Thanks.
(I'm installing new front brakes)

The V lug nuts are 19-mm.

A 3/4" will work in a pinch as well.

are you sure you took the outer caps off to expose the lugs? use VERY GENTLE pressure to get the outer caps off, then you can muscle off the lugs. Same to tighten. Barely more than hand tighten the caps. Oh, torque lugs to 100 ft/lbs

Great... I didn't know about outer caps. Why do they do that? What's the point? I'm sure that I must have stripped them.
Thanks for letting me know about this but I am unclear regarding your instructions. Do I just reverse them off as if they wer ordinary lugs to get to the real ones? Thanks for your help on this. I really hope I didn't damage them all.:banghead:

Yep.

The covers are for "beauty." My V must be ugly since I don't use them. :D

or just go buy some new lugs now the covers are gone
